Satish Chandra Dhawan Government College for Boys and Girls Ludhiana is a co-education college was established in 1920 situated at Punjab, India. The college occupies a vast piece of land of about 42 acres and offers 42 courses in 10 programs of degree. It is affiliated to the Mangalore University and was recognised by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) to help it become accredited to take quality education. The institution has a team of 27 members including the teaching faculty, who serve a large number of students. Hailing from Ludhiana, the college has successfully provided specialisation in arts, sciences, and commerce stream in the college.
The college has a modern infrastructure as per the need of the college for each of its academic ventures. It has a fully automated computerized library named Shri Guru Arjan Dev Library keeping with its systematic collection of over one lakh and seventeen thousand books, six thousand three hundred e-journals and two lakhs eBooks. There are well established laboratories for practical works, a big hall of congregation named Sahir Auditorium which has a seating capacity of 450 members and very rich in its infrstructural facility for games and sports having international hockey ground. The college also has separate hostels for boys and girls for out-station students, so that they could live comfortably.

The college is now developing after covid19 and new infrastructure is being build The college provide good classroom environment, it also have a library rich of many books and have big sitting space. The classroom and library is well maintained college also provide good hostel facility. Though personally feel that canteen of college it not that much maintain just outside the college you can get lots of food points.

Its infrastructure is great as it has huge garden and courts for various sports such as hockey. The building is in very good condition. It has various departments which has all of the essential equipments which it should have.

There is no entrance exam for admissions in M.A in Satish Chandra Dhawan Government College, Ludhiana. The admission to M.A. Ist Semester will be based on merit only.
