The Satya Sai Murlidhar Ayurvedic College and hospital of Moga, Punjab is an esteemed college and hospital for the propagation of Ayurvedic Medical Science. This affiliated college was set up in 1982, and therefore, has been producing what can be referred to as junior Ayurvedic practitioners for more than four decades. Recognized by the Central Council for Indian Medicine the college provides a complete learning environment in the 2.53 acre campus. 

Currently the institute has a total student strength of 191 students and the faculty strength of 23 teachers hence the institute provides a good student teacher ratio. The college currently offers two full-time programs: The colleges offer Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Diploma in Pharmacy for Ayurvedic hopefuls.

One of the crucial golden areas of the institute is a set of facilities that are required for development of the learning process and improvement of students’ quality of life. The college library itself can be considered as one of the literate assets as it contains about 11 000 books with extra-ordinary and rare collection of books concerning the Ayurveda system of treatment. As for practice, the college offers adequately equipped department laboratories for practical training. 

The boys hostel of the university and girls hostel in the heart of moga city have modern installed facilities such as Wi-Fi,TV rooms with 24hours water and power back up confirmations. The college hospital complex is another attraction; equipped with centralized X-ray, ECG, USG facility, operation theatre and high tech laboratories along with experienced and well qualified MD Ayurveda doctors in seven clinical departments. Other facilities accompanied by the building include an event hall for seminars and performances, a canteen, a sports complex, and rooms for guests of the faculty and their families.

Satya Sai Murlidhar Ayurvedic College and Hospital offers two primary courses: the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), the Diploma in Pharmacy and others. BAMS is a six year program offered as a full time course for which the intake capacity approved is 60 seats. The Diploma in Pharmacy, is another full time course as well that takes two years to complete and has 50 seats of intake. Both courses aimed to give the theoretical knowledge in the field of Ayurvedic medical sciences and pharmacy, and the necessary practical skills. The total studentseniority from the two programs amount to 110students, making Senior Chamba College’s total student constituency stand at 191.

Satya Sai Murlidhar Ayurvedic College and Hospital operates its admission process based on the rules of Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab, Hoshiarpur. For the BAMS program, seats under government quota and management quota are even filled on NEET merit as per Punjab and Central Government norms. The institute accepts NEET as the only test it considers for admitting students to BAMS course.
