24 MonthsThe Master of Laws (LL.M.) is an internationally recognized postgraduate law degree. The basic eligibility for the pursuance of the course is 3 years LL.B. or 5 years with 50-60% aggregate scores B.A.- LL.B. or any law UG degree from a recognized university. An LL.M. is usually obtained by completing a two-year full-time program which is divided into four Semesters. In each semester there is two mid semester test i.e. MST-1 and MST-2 and an assignment work (written) in each semester.
An LL.M. in human rights is an advanced postgraduate law degree which includes various disciplines such as Human Rights and International and Regional Perspectives, Classification of Human Rights , Human Rights and Criminal Justice etc. This course focuses on the laws that protect and guarantee human rights at the local, national, regional and international levels.
After the successful completion of the LL.M.in human rights course student can get the opportunity to not only explore the global role of human rights and the international and domestic machinery that promotes and enforces rights, but also how academic debates connect to the practice of human rights.This specialisation in human rights will give you an advanced understanding of international human rights law and how it is implemented. Focus on areas that are at the forefront of human rights.
