The college is named Selvamm Arts and Science College (SASC)- an autonomous institution in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in different disciplines of the arts, sciences, and commerce. SASC, as part of its policy aims at creating and availing opportunities for deserving candidates through a number of admission policies for various academic programs. This holds true for undergraduate programs where a candidate is eligible once he/she has completed his/her 10+2 schooling from a recognized board. On the other hand, postgraduate applicants should have completed their bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. The college considers academic performance as a very important factor during the admission process.

Application Process

2. Fill out the application form with accurate personal and academic details. 

3. Upload scanned copies of required documents which might include: 

• 10th and 12th mark sheets.
• Transfer Certificate.
• Conduct Certificate.
• Recent passport-size photographs.
• Entrance exam scores wherever applicable.
• Degree certificate and mark sheets for postgraduate and Ph.D applicants.

4. Make application payment through the prescribed medium of payment. 

5. Submit the duly filled application form along with all required documents. 

6. Wait for communication from the college regarding next step i.e entrance tests/interviews for certain programs. 

7. In the event of selection, the student must then complete the admission process by paying the prescribed fees and submitting the original documents for verification.

Admissions Process Degree Wise

B.Sc Programs: The college offers nine specializations under the B.Sc, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, and Hotel Management and Catering Science. Admission to these programs is dependent on the performance of the candidates in their respective 10+2 examination focus of sciences.

BA Programs: The college offers three BA programs namely, English, Tamil and B.Lit. Candidates who possess the eligibility requirements in terms of 10+2 with relevant subjects can apply for admission in these courses.

M.Sc Programs: There are 7 available M.Sc specializations: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Applied Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Electronics and Communication. Bachelor's qualification in the relevant discipline is required for applicants of the specified programs.

B.Com Programs: SASC has B.Com programs and the B.Com with Computer Application. Applicants would be selected based on their results from the 10+2 course, especially for commerce-related subjects.

MA Programs: The college has MA in English and Tamil. Graduates who have the respective bachelor degree can enroll in such programs.

Ph.D Programs: SASC has full-time and part-time doctoral programs in Biotechnology and Microbiology. These admissions should be more rigorous than the others considering the candidate's performance in his master's degree and the research proposal.
