Sigma Health Training Institute started in 1988 is one of the premier nursing education institute situated at Ludhiana, Punjab. This affiliated college recognised by India Nursing Council has been producing health care professional in the future for more than three decades. The nursing institute is located closely to Palm Enclave on the Southern Bypass to provide a variety of nursing courses for women only. Although separate statistics for the enrollment strength are missing, the institute is famous for offering educational facilities in the nursing stream.
Sigma Health Training Institute has some of the facilities that help in improving the experience of learning in the students. A bright and spacious library stock with over 5,000 books and other materials is provided to help apprentices in the sphere of nursing and receive general education. Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Sc Nursing: This is a four-year undergraduate course consisting of 60 seats. Admission depends on the performance of the candidate in 10+2 and any specified entrance tests as might be set by the institute or other regulatory bodies.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): Four-year course with 60 seats. Candidates should have completed 10+2. Admission criteria include an entrance examination and merit-based selection.
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): A two-year course with a capacity of 50 seats. It is offered to those who have done well in their 10+2 and have met any other requirements as stipulated by the institute.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: A program with 40 seats designed for registered nurses. A GNM diploma is required to be eligible.
M.Sc Nursing: Postgraduate course, which has the following specializations:
Medical Surgical Nursing – 2 seats
Obstetrical & Gynaecological Nursing – 3 seats
Psychiatric Nursing – 5 seats
