SNDT Women’s University Law School came in to light in 2006 which is a constituent college in Mumbai Maharashtra. This is a women-only college that has made it its core business to offer quality education in law and is recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Located in the active area of Santacruz, the law school provides a sequence of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of law. Holds a total Intake capacity of 395 students and faculties of 5, makes sure that personal attention is provided and environment is favourable for learning. The law school provides five programmes including specialisations of legal education for different aspects of law and research. 

The SNDT Women’s University Law School is dedicated towards putting up the best infrastructure to enable learning of students in the school. The college holds a rich library that is a source of necessary knowledge for future legal representatives. Concerning academic meetings and occasions, an extensive hall for seminars and conferences is also available. The institution also emphasises the steady development of technology with good IT facilities; therefore, students are competent in the present society. To enhance the process of the practical learning the law school is equipped with a moot court to enable the students to practice making of advocacy in a court like setting. It also contains specialised legal research laboratories for the campus. Therefore, to ensure the all-round development of the students the college offers a gym facility. A cafeteria remains inclusive in grounds providing a venue for students to relax and even conduct fellowships. The college also fulfills the banking and ATM needs of its students and has a health centre for students’ necessary medical needs as well.

The legal education programmes provided by the SNDT Women’s University Law School comprise of a full coverage of the relevant education programmes. It awards five programmes including undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study. They include the regular 3 year LLB programme, the integrated BBA LLB and BA LLB five-year programmes, the masters two-year LLM programme and the doctoral six year programme in Law for the students in need of carrying out advanced research studies in the field of Law. The BBA LLB which one of the popular courses has an approved intake capacity of 60 students. The total enrolment of students in all programme is 395 which gives a viewed that the intakes in all the different programmes are controlled.

Degree wise Admission Process

BBA LLB: The law school also runs this most in demand integrated five year BBA LLB program. Merit only being the criteria for admitting to the course it is evaluated based on the score in their 10+2 examination. Sanctioned strength is 60 students. Applicant can be admitted only if he/ she has passed 10+2 from any stream with scores not below 45-50%.

LLB: There is a three years LLB course conducted in the law school. There is no information available about the admission details, but the candidate must have graduated in any discipline from any recognized university to be eligible.

BA LLB: This is another five-year integrated course offered by the institution. The admission process and eligibility criteria must be similar to the BBA LLB course with an emphasis on the 10+2 results.

LLM: Eligibility for such two-year Master of Laws entry is provided to the students who have successfully completed LLB or an equivalent qualifying degree. The admission process may also consider the academic merit of the candidate in the law degree.
