Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chikkaballapur, is a new medical college providing quality medical education in Karnataka. This admission complex was placed on national criteria prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), making selections based on merit through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The specific dates may vary from year to year; however, in almost all cases, the NEET exam is held in May, with results in June or July. Counseling by the KEA comes swiftly after, usually at the time of August-September. Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS course at Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research would be required to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the NMC and NEET.
These comprise completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and English as a compulsory subject. Qualification in the NEET exam by securing marks more than the cut-off marks prescribed for the respective category is a must for the candidate. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) shall be the only entrance test considered for the admission to the MBBS program. NEET is a pen-and-paper-based examination that tests applicants' knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The syllabus of NEET is based on the 11th and 12th standards of the NCERT curriculum.
