Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Srinivas University, Mangalore.

The Bachelor of Education programme, generally known as B.Ed., is a professional course that prepares teachers for upper primary or middle level (classes VI-VIII), secondary level (classes IX-X) and senior secondary level (classes XI-XII).

Eligibility Criteria

A Candidate who has secured at least 50% marks in aggregate either in the Bachelor’s Degree / or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/ Humanity OR any degree shall be eligible for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Education. Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other Qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the B.Ed Degree.
There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST/Category-1/Physically disabled candidates.
Rules regarding admission, entrance examination, intake, eligibility, reservations, proportions for different subjects and related norms will be as laid down by the NCTE and the Government of Karnataka from time to time and notified by the University shall be followed.

Admission Details

Government quota seats are filled up by the Central Admission Cell (CAC) of the Karnataka Government through counseling.
Common entrance examination notification will be given by the university. On the basis of the merit of the entrance examination, the management seats are admitted.
