St. John's Pharmacy College, Bangalore is one of the renowned institutions for pharmacy education in Karnataka. The admission cycle generally starts in the months of May-June for the August-September intake. The candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria as specified by the college and regulatory bodies. For most pharmacy programs, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as core subjects from a recognized board.

The number of seats is 104 as St. John's Pharmacy College has provided to students in its intake from the different programs. Probably, it is merit-based procedure, wherein the marks in the qualifying examination 10+2 and entrance exams conducted at state or national level are considered for admission in pharmacy programs.

5. Entrance Examination: Depending upon the pharmacy courses, candidates need to appear in a state or institution-level entrance examination, if required.

6. Merit List: As per merit criteria and examination conducted for eligibility, if at all applicable then a merit list of the student to be taken on board was prepared by college, which displayed the same,

7. Counseling and Seat Distribution: The applicant was then called and provided counseling after which they may opt for whatever course they seek to pursue and this was allocated based on one's rank followed by seat position.

8. Payment of Fees: The short-listed candidates will have to deposit the course fees within the deadline for final admission.

9. Verification of Original Documents: Before the finalization of admission, the college shall verify all the original documents submitted by the student.

Degree-wise Admission Procedure

B. Pharma B Pharma is a four-year undergraduate course offered at St. John's Pharmacy College with an approved intake of 60 students. Candidates generally get admission in the B. Pharma programme through the merit list of 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics. However, some states accept pharmacy entrance exam scores for admission.

D. Pharma: The college provides the two-year D. Pharma course with an intake of 60 students. For D. Pharma, one usually requires a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The intake would be direct from marks scored in 10+2 or through the state-level diploma entrance exam as prevailing norms would prevail.

B.Pharma Lateral Entry: Diploma holders can be directly admitted into the second year of the B.Pharma program. State government or the institution is not definitely sure about the approved intake. In the case of lateral entry, admissions are usually based on the performance in the diploma program and/or any additional entrance tests that might be conducted by the state and/or the institution.
