St. Thomas College of Teacher Education is concerned with training quality teachers for the future through our programmes such as B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.El.Ed.

The college offers a full range of learning assistance to support the experiences of its students. The campus also has its hostels for both boys and girls to ensure adequate host and lodging to those students who prefer residing in campus. A library is equipped with relevant accessories and one can find it with books, journals and educational CDs and other forms of knowledge. Considerably, the institution’s technology-focused, with regard to IT provision, with computers and free Internet to the students. St. Thomas College of Teacher Education provides options for the student’s sports and physical training, such as sports facilities and a gym. The campus also has several dedicated special purpose labs such as the Language laboratory, Psychology laboratory, Technology and Modern Media Laboratory, Science Laboratory and Computer Laboratory to facilitate practical learning and research.

St. Thomas College of Teacher Education is also involved in offering full time courses that totals to three courses, this courses serves the various levels of teacher education. The intake capacity of the institute is 250 students for all its courses offered across the different levels. B.Ed course.as a programme that is at the centre of this college’s admission has the most number of seats, 150. It also offers two postgraduate courses M.Ed and D.El.Ed, for which 50 students are admitted each year. Every course takes at least two years to complete in an effort to equip all prospective teachers adequately.
