Swami Shri Swaroopanand Saraswati Mahavidyalaya, Bhilai: Admission 2025, Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Placements, Ranking

SSSSMV, short for Swami Shri Swaroopanand Saraswati Mahavidyalaya, in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. The institution offers several undergraduate and postgraduate programs covering a wide variety of disciplines. Therefore, there is provision for admission to the various programs of the SSSSMV strictly based on merit, in accordance with the rules maintained by the state government and affiliated university. Usually, the admission process for SSSSMV starts a few months preceding the academic year. However, the month may vary from year to year, which is why prospective applicants should consult the college website and/or the admissions office for any late-breaking news regarding application deadline dates and any other important dates.

Most of the courses require an eligibility of having completed 10+2 through a recognized board. Admission is done primarily on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. Entrance examination and/or any other selection process as per the state government and university policy may also be considered for some programs. SSSSMV has modern infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories for Biotechnology, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Botany, and Zoology. 

Application Process

The application process at Swami Shri Swaroopanand Saraswati Mahavidyalaya differs from one program to another, but generally is composed of the following steps:

1. A prospective candidate must visit the official SSSSMV website to obtain entry to the online application portal. 

2. The candidate must select the program of interest and peruse eligibility and admission requisites of the selected program.

3. Upon completion of the above, candidates must fill out the online application with accurate personal and academic details.

4. The scanned copies of the following documents must then be uploaded:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets
• Graduation mark sheets (for postgraduate courses)
• Valid ID proof
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Caste certificate (if applicable)

5. Pay the application cost via the online payment facility offered for each program.

6. Send in a filled-out application that can be printed for the candidate's reference.

7. Candidates shall appear for the entrance examination, if applicable, on the date specified.

8. The selected candidates will follow counseling or document verification.

9. The candidates who fulfill all criteria after verification will pay their fees to reserve their place.

Admission Process for Each Degree

B.Ed.: The B.Ed course has an intake of 200 seats at SSSSMV. Merit-based admission is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the procedure laid down by the state government and university.

BBA: SSSSMV provides BBA with 100 seats. Admission specifics are not supplied; however, merit-based selection on 10+2 marks or relevant entrance exam appears plausible.

BCA: The BCA program has an intake of 60 seats. Admission is likely based on merit based on 10+2 examination with emphasis on mathematics and computer science.

M.Ed.: There are 50 seats for the M.Ed. program in SSSSMV. Admission is based on merit considering scores obtained in the qualifying examination (generally B.Ed.) and/or entrance examination state government as per the procedure laid down by the university.

D.El.Ed.: This program has a capacity of 50 seats; admission purely depends upon merit while taking marks in the qualifying examination and/or those in the entrance that the state government provides into consideration.

M.Com: There are 30 seats available for M.Com study at SSSSMV. Admission shall be on the basis of performance in B.Com and/or equivalent degree.

PGDCA: There are 30 seats in Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications. The selection will follow the evaluation criteria that the graduation in any discipline will be the main criterion along with further consideration of academic results.
