The college is very old. It has two buildings that comes under the college and there is a huge infrastructure for the hospital as well. One of the college buildings has all sorts of laboratories and lecture theatres. The other one has the library, conference room and a reading hall.
I'm currently in the MBBS course. The academics of the college are excellent. The syllabus/ curriculum is entirely new and was effective starting from our batch. This is very clinically oriented and helps us learn things early in our course and connect everything.
Placements in medical are mostly merit based. There is an entrance for getting a PG seat. Also, if one wants to do his/her JRship that offers a really good amount. Apart from that every MBBS student has to do one year of internship with a salary of around 23k.
My course doesn't cost much since it is a government college. So i totally feel i get a lot more for the money i pay.
This is the best thing about this college. Late night study sessions in the reading room and the hostel life is something to look forward to.
I would totally recommend this college. It wouldn't disappoint anybody.
The college has an old infrastructure in comparison to other colleges. But it is continuously changing. There is fully air conditioned lecture theatres, the college is equipped with JIO NET all over the college and hospital area.
UCMS is ranked among the top 10 best medical college in India. The faculties here are amazing. They have an in depth knowledge of their subject. Tje post graduate students are also very helpful. You can pursue anything with your studies while pursuing your studies.
As it is a medical college, there is not a formal placement. However you can always apply for observerships in abroad colleges like Johns Hopkins or Stanford Medicene. There is also a one year mandatory rotatory internship in which you are also provided with a stipend.
The fees at UCMS is very less as it a government medical college. The facilities here at par like there is a 24/7 hour open canteen that caters to all the students and doctors. Also, the academics here are amazing with enough opportunity that you can capitalise on.
The campus life of UCMS is simply outstanding. There are hostels with single room to each student. Also there is a park for students. The campus is quite safe. There are many sport team both for indoor and outdoor ganes. And the support staff of each sport is very helpful.
Being an old college established in 1971 UCMS has an old building. But it has complete facilities like Lecture theatres wit AC, Practical labs and skills labs for surgery, anaesthesia etc. It has also single room hostels for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
UCMS is among the top ten government medical college in India. The academics here are amazing. Each faculty and even the post graduation pursuing students have knowledge about their respective subjects and also they encourage students to pursue research during their MBBS year.
After the final year of MBBS you are required to do a one year mandatory internship at GTB Hospital Delhi. You are posted as a doctor there and there is rotation among the different departments so you get exposure of each field. Although private companies do not come to hire students.
Being a government medical college the tuition fees and hostel fees here at UCMS is very minimal. Including hostel fees it costs around 15000 INR per year. The clinical exposure you get here is very good which helps you to become a better clinician in the future.
Campus life is also very good here at UCMS. You have a canteen that is open 24/7 only for medical students and doctors. There is a park in front of the hostels where you can go for a walk. There is also a sports field where you can play volleyball, football etc.
My college infrastructure is not that good as it was made in the year 1971. But it has all the necessary facilities like a library, lecture theatre that are equiped with air conditioners and also it has a reading room that is opened 24/7.
UCMS has one the most amazing faculties. They are dedicated to teach you to the limit. They also encourage you to take up new projects in research and also if you have any idea of improving the college campus, you can always contact them.
There is no such thing as college placement in my college as it is a medical college. However after your final year MBBS exam you have to do one year mandatory internship at GTB Hospital Delhi and you are provided with a stipend also.
The college fees is very less as it is a government medical college, the MBBS course costs less than 30000 INR and the facilities here are amazing. You get a fully air conditioned lecture theatres, there are laboratories and the clinical exposure you get here is amazing.
One of the major reason that makes UCMS stand out is its campus life. There is a centre sports field in which there is a soccer field, cricket field and a basket ball court. There are also many indoor games and the hostel wardens are also amazing
The college is equipped with a library. It has four lecture theatres each with a capacity of 250 students. It has all the laboratories including skills lab. The labs and LTs are air conditioned. The library has a reading room that is open 24 hours. However, the college doesn't have an auditorium.
When it comes to academics, UCMS stands out from rest of the colleges. I am a MBBS student there and the faculty is amazing. They are always on board to listen to your ideas whether it is related to academics or any general problem. The support staff is also amazing. The college follows the newly updated curriculum put forward by the NMC.
Companies do not come to UCMS for placements as it is a medical college. Although, there is a a mandatory one year internship after passing your final year MBBS exams. You will be provided with a stipend of around 30,000 INR p.m. During the intership period you get to learn stuff of patient and hospital management.
As UCMS is a government medical college the tuition fees here is less than 10,000 per anum. It is one of the best medical college in India and the quality of education is beyond excellence. There are many co-curricular activities in the college like dramatics, poetry, choreography etc that will help you to develop your personality also.
The campus life is one of the best features of UCMS. You are provided with a single sharing room in your hostel. The residential complex has a park that is only for students and the faculties. The college is located in east Delhi. There is not many good places but you can always go out. Also there is a centre sports field where you can play soccer, basketball badminton etc.
It is one of the best of all medical colleges in Delhi. It is dated back to 1950s which makes it a historic building and even then it has all the latest equipments and technology. There are smart boards/projectors.
It is ranked as one of the best medical colleges of India. It is a privilege to be a part of it. It is known for its academics and the practical knowledge it imparts through early clinical exposure in hospital.
Placement process is an absolute thing in this field. One has to go through the internship after the final year of education without which one doesn't get his/her degree. In this field a person is never unemployed.
It is a government college so it not something to worry about as the annual fees is just 5k - 7k. It is a very affordable college and the quality of education one gets is the best.
It has the perfect campus in the city. Being in Delhi it is so green and one feels so close to the nature.
It is a different experience in its own. Late night studies, society practices etc. One has a lot of fun here.
My college has great infrastructure, it also has a library and a reading room. There are multiple lecture theatres. There are playgrounds as well which is something to look forward to. The entire campus is very clean
Pursuing mbbs. The professors are really good. It will give me an opportunity to help people in future. There are people who promote peer group learning. There are quizzing societies too related to medical stream.
100% guaranteed placements if you pass all the professional examination. The pay is really good as well. A great opportunity to interact with patients and fellow doctors during internship. The college is always supportive.
It is around 5000-7000 per year. It is so minimal as it is a government college.
The campus life is amazing. It is so close to the nature. There are 2 playgrounds in the campus.
The experience here is amazing.
Hiii,
Dear student
As the competition in NEET is getting tougher by each passing year. It is very difficult to predict the probability of marks needed to lock a seat in any of the government colleges.
Secondly, the selection also depends upon the category(gen/obc/sc/st) which you fall in but still that does not makes a huge difference as the cut off of each category have risen up during the recent years.
If we look upon the record of recent years it becomes essential to secure a safe score which should be above 630.
Some of the privileges is also given to Delhi students in UCMS. if you hail from Delhi you can surely bag the chance of occupying a seat.
