Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College, Dehradun, was established in the year 2001 and it is one of the prime institutions for the study and practice of Ayurveda. It is a co-educational college that is situated at 17, Old Mussoorie Road, Rajpur, Dehradun, and is an affiliated institution approved by CCIM. The total strength of students in the institution is 240 and the strength of faculty in the institution is 50. Six is different in degree programmes in the Ayurveda and its allied programmes. Seven courses are there which relates majorly the traditional Indian medicine and wellness practices.
Various types of facilities are provided by the college which gives amplified learning and a good atmosphere for the students altogether. There is one hostel for boys and girls in the college where homely, comfortable, and safe living environment is provided within the campus. Rooms are well furnished, attached clean toilets, dining space and TV lounges. Besides this, Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College provides clean and homely food and pick and drop between the hostel and institute. The library is well-stocked and departmental laboratories provide ample facilities for research and practical learning in academic pursuance. Health centre with first-aid facilities is available in the campus and medical attention is given as fast as it is possible. All the courses on Ayurvedic Medicines in this regard are given comprehensive exposure in Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College. Seven full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses are given by the institute. BAMS is the most prominent course of the institute and it has the approval of 100 seats. Other prominent courses are MD Ayurveda, MA Yoga, PGDM Yogic Science, Diploma in Public Health and Community Nutrition, and Diploma in Panchkarma Therapist.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is the flagship course of Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College with an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission to BAMS course is through NEET-UG entrance examination. Candidates should clear NEET-UG and should undergo the following counseling process to get a seat in this course.
MD Ayurveda is available under the course of MD by the college. Admission into MD Ayurveda is on the basis of an entrance exam. The sanctioned strength of the course is 20 seats, and higher specialisation is provided for graduates of BAMS.
MA Yoga is a postgraduate course in Yoga with a sanctioned strength of 40 seats. Admission to MA Yoga occurs on the basis of merit through selection. Required candidates possessing a suitable bachelor's degree are called for application.
PGDM Yogic Science is another specialised postgraduate course conducted by the college. The approved intake is 40 seats and admission is based on merit. This course will be suitable for those who want to integrate management skills and yogic activities.
Diploma in Public Health and Community Nutrition diploma course deals with public health aspects of Ayurveda and nutrition. It is merit-based admission, and candidates possessing relevant educational qualifications can apply.
Having focus on the Panchkarma therapy of Ayurveda, Diploma in Panchkarma Therapist course accepts students based on their merits. It is a good opportunity for students interested in advanced Ayurvedic therapies.
Admission to BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) course is based on merit. The course amalgamates concepts of naturopathy and yoga for an integrated health and wellness approach.

The fee structure for Bams courses differs from colleges to colleges.However the fee structure for most of the colleges centres around 30,000 to 3.2 Lakhs per annum.The valuation may vary according to the rating of the colleges and the facilities it provides to the college.Some good bams college are Patanjali Ayurved College, Haridwar,Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya Malwadi, Pune Dr DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai with fee structure around 5-7 lakhs as total fee structure.
