A candidate who has obtained – (a) 55% marks in the aggregate, or (b) 50% in the aggregate with 60% marks in a subject in the last qualifying examination (generally 10+2 examination) shall be eligible to apply for the Honours Program in that particular subject.
Admission shall, however, be based on merit and availability of seats. The minimum marks and percentage of eligibility for SC/ST candidates shall be as per the Rules of the State Government.
Provided further that in a matter of eligibility of 49.5% marks and above shall be equal to 50%; 54.5% marks or above shall be equal to 55%; and 59.5% marks and above shall be equal to 60%.
