Candidate must have passed:
(a) 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate in any stream.
(b) The admission will be based on the Entrance Test and /or Interview conducted by the Department and the marks obtained in 10+2 class apart from Compulsory Subjects.
A candidate shall select three Major subjects out of six, the remaining Subjects will be taught as Minor Subjects excluding Languages. B.A. Social Sciences (Admission on basis of Entrance Test and/or Interview) Faculty The student will study one subject in Foundation Courses and Inter-Disciplinary Courses in each semester.
1. Compulsory Subjects: English, Punjabi/Basic Punjabi (Mudhli Punjabi).
2. Major/Minor Subjects: Political Science/Public Administration, Economics/History, Sociology/Language (English/Punjabi).
3. Foundational Courses: Current Affairs and Social Issues/Science and Technology/ Geography of India and the World/Ethics and Integrity/Mental Ability (Sem V-VI).
4. Inter-Disciplinary Courses: Commerce/Physical Education/Computer Science/ Psychology/Indian Heritage and Culture/ Functional Hindi.
