To enrol in the Karnataka State Open University online MA Sanskrit programme, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria defined by the university. The eligibility requirements are as follows:
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree of three years or equivalent qualification, with no cognate subjects.
OR
Candidates must have completed a three-year B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/ B.Music/ BYNS/ BBM/ Five years BAMS/ LLB Degree Examination offering Sanskrit as a Second Language or minor subject at the Degree level, with a minimum of 50 % marks.
Candidates must have passed the Sahitya Examination conducted by the Board of Sanskrit Education, Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore or equivalent examinations such as Kovida of Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Bombay, Kovida of Sanskrit Bharati, New Delhi, Samartha of Bhasa Pracarinisabha, Chittor, from a recognised university.
Candidates must have passed the Post-Pre-University Diploma Examination in Sanskrit conducted by any recognised University, OR have cleared the Vidwat Madhyama (B.A) Examination conducted by the Board of Sanskrit Education, Karnataka Government or Karnataka Sanskrit University, Bangalore,
Candidates should be graduates of any recognised university and have passed the Kannada Pandit Examination conducted by the Government of Karnataka.
