A candidate seeking admission to the first year of a three-year diploma course in Engineering and Technology in Maharashtra must be an Indian national and should have passed the 10th standard (SSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 35% aggregate marks. There is no entrance exam; admissions are given through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) based on SSC marks. Candidates must belong to one of the Maharashtra State candidature types (A to E), based on domicile, education, or parents’ employment in Maharashtra. Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, SBC, EWS) must submit valid caste and non-creamy layer certificates to avail of reservation benefits. Minority students (linguistic or religious) must submit a minority certificate or school record proof. There is no upper age limit, and students under the Institutional or Management Quota can apply directly to institutes.
