Yes, AMU exam have negative marking for engineering program.
1 mark will be awarded for correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong attempt.

First, you should check whether you are eligible for NITs/IITs/IIITs anf CFTIs.
According, to the eligibility criteria you should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile.

If you want to take admission in government colleges you can apply in DTU and NSIT. It takes admission through JEE Main and counselling is held through JAC Delhi.
You should also appear in your state level entrance exam to take admission in state government colleges.
