it would be easier to answer your question if you had mentioned the subject/course you have applied for in BHU PET 2019, so as to be able to tally your rank with the number of seats available in Banaras Hindu University for that particular course. However, OBC rank 177 looks a bit far away from the usual range of students intake in BHU in this category. You can still hope to be accepted by the university in their second or third round of couselling in case the seats remain available. But you should also look for other colleges as well in the mean time.

Hi, unfortunately, determining cut offs/rank is quite a difficult process as they change every year depending on no. of factors like seats avaialble for the course, no. of applicants seeking admission and appearing for the entrance exam, difficulty level on the entrance paper and the subsequent result. So if you have scored marks around 200 then you'll easily get admission to the course in the main campus. 

The cut off percentage for general category is 35%

It is always tough to get admission in this University when your ST rank is more than 100 in BHU PET for Post-graduation degree in Chemistry. But your male rank is 77. There is only a very little chance that you could possibly have a shot at making it in this University. Banaras Hindu University is a very sought after University, you will not get a chance in the first round of counselling, however, you may look out for the second or third round of counselling.
