ICAR's All India Entrance Examination for Admission
G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) offers degree/diploma courses at various Undergraduate (UG), Post graduate (PG), and Doctoral levels in the fields of Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Business & Management studies and Medical & Health sciences.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria for all Courses
The candidates seeking admission to the UG Programmes need to complete their 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant subject, from a recognised board.
The candidate seeking admission to the PG Programmes need to complete their graduation with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant subject, from a recognised university.
Note: Aspirants are advised to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned by the university, for the course specific details.
Admission Process for all courses
For Bonafied residents of Uttarakhand:
The candidates are admitted on the basis of an entrance examination conducted by the university. It is mandatory for the candidate to appear for the examination in order to meet the eligibility criteria, failing which the candidature is subjected to cancellation.
The University also accepts JEE / GATE ) /CMART/JNU Entrance examination scores for various courses offered by them.
For other Candidates:
The selection procedure is same but they need to appear for ICAR (All India Competitive Examination) and then attend the counselling session for admission and seat allotment.
Application Process
Candidates can submit the university’s application form through online mode, for admissions. Aspirants can pay the application fee by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking/E-Challan. In case of E-Challan the application fee can be paid in any branch of Indian Bank.

According to the official notification ,the eligibility criteria that the student should qualify in 12th standard ."The minimum qualifying marks for consideration of the candidate to the selection process of various categories is mentioned below:
general/OBC - 50% marks
SC/ST/PC - 40%marks
The students who are eligible will be selected and those students will be alloted to their respective department according to their rank and as well as their preference.

After ICAR result declaration, Candidates will be invited for the counselling based on their ICAR AIEEA 2020 rank. In the counselling session, The candidates will have to choose their subject and the agricultural university. The allotment of seats will be done via online mode only on the basis of the sub-subject opted by the candidates at the time of filling the online application form and depending upon the availability of seats at his/her merit-rank.
