in physics i got 46 in math i got 67 and in chemistry i got 50 and in English i got 69 am i eligible to give imu cet exam? overall in 12 with pcm i got 72%

Akshita Dhiman 9th Aug, 2021
Hi there,

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the exam is to have atleast 60 percent in PCM alone along with 50 percent in English in both 10th and 12th. There will be a 5percent relaxation if you belong from SC/ST category, however the percentage in English would remain the same.

As per the marks mentioned by you do not fulfill the above eligibility criteria, hence you cannot apply for imu cet. The above criteria is for btech and bsc programs. Incase you were looking for any other please mention it below, so that I can answer accordingly.

Alternatively, you could also visit their official website.

I hope this information helps!

Thank you!

Hi Aspirant,

To be eligible for writing IMU CET, candidate must need to secure minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. And you must have to secure atleast 50% marks in English.

For SC/ST, there is 5% relaxation in marks ( not applicable for English) .

As you said , you have secured 71% in 12th board exam but you haven't mentioned your English marks. You will be eligible, if you have minimum 50% marks in English.

i have scored 73.6 percent total in pcm 12th and overall its 85 percent am i eligible and is there any consideration of INDIVIDUAL marks of p,c,m?

Anurag Khanna 5th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Yes you would be eligible for IMU CET because you have scored 73.6% aggregate marks in PCM of class 12th and the eligibility criteria for IMU CET for B.Tech program states that :-

** One should have scored minimum aggregate of 60% in PCM in 12th and also he/she should have passed with minimum 50% marks in English subject  then only he/she would be eligible for IMU CET

** Also the age of candidate should be 17-25 years, not out of this range.

You can get more details from the link given below :-

https://dqxeclau.top/exams/imu-cet

So according to the above criterion, on the basis of your score you are eligible for IMU CET, provided that you also have scored minimum 50% in NEET.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

sir, i have 64% in 12th in all subjects and 59.66%only in pcm do i eligible for IMU CET exam

Shja 28th Jul, 2021
Dear Aspirant,

You need 60% aggregate marks in Physics, chemistry and mathematics to be eligible for giving this exam. Along with that you must have a minimum of 50% marks in English. If you belong to a reserved category like SC/ST you might get some relaxation but that relaxation would not be applicable for English scores. So, according to me you aren't eligible. But still to clarify your doubts you should check out a link I am mentioning here.

Hi Vishnu,

Yes, you are eligible for IMU CET examination as you said you have 64% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, whereas it is also necessary that the applicant should have atleast 50% in English language, and most probably you might have got that.

Below I am mentioning the eligibility criteria of IMU CET examination.

  • Age of the candidate should be between 17 to 25 by 1st August in the year of examination, however there is relaxation of 5 years for ST/SC.
  • Student must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with minimum 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English language.
  • Student should be medically fit according IMU CET medical testing board.

are private colleges better in placement in merchant navy?

Anushri Varshney 8th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

No college offers 100% placements. It is just the skills that support the placement and jobs.

Private colleges at also better but I would suggest you join some Training Institute run by the companies themselves rather than going for private/government colleges. I've enlisted some institutes from which you can take training. These are:

  • Anglo-Eastern
  • Fleet Management
  • Wallem Institute
  • ESM institute

These institutes have their training programs which help in the merchant navy jobs.

But you need to work on yourself first for the placement.

I hope this helps you.

also, for detailed information about the course, must visit this link:

Thank you.
