Do I need to appear for IMU CET for lateral entry in B.tech( Marine engineering)?

Hey,
For lateral entry in Indian Marine University for B.Tech is made in the order of merit based on aggregate percentage of marks in their research Diploma.
The basic eligibility criteria is to have a three years diploma in Marine/Mechanical/Electrical or Electronics Engineering from any institution approved by AICTE or four years Diploma in shipbuilding engineering from any institute approved by AICTE.

IMU CET is usually held in the month of June. This year, it is scheduled tentatively for 1st June. The applications will be released online at their official website from the first week of April until the first week of May. Hello student I'm sorry to inform you but as per IMU CET eligibility criteria candidates belonging to Genral category should be a minimum age of 17 years and maximum 25 years of old as on 1st August 2020.
So if you're not 17 years old as you mentioned your birthday is on 23rd August so you're not eligible for IMU CET 2020,You may appear next year in IMU CET.

is there any tution Centre of imu cet exam prepare in amritsar?

Hello,

You will rarely find any coaching institute that will help you in preparation for IMU CET.
Because IMU CET is not a very difficult exam.
A basic understanding and knowledge of what you have areas in class 11th and 12th mathematics, physics and chemistry is required to clear the exam. Just simple revise what properly what you studies in class 11th and 12th,complete NCERT and go through some past year question papers.
For English just solve past year papers and sample papers.And read monthly magazines for GK, and General Aptitude part and that will be enough.

Hello,

If you can fulfill the eligibility criteria for both then yes you can apply for Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) as well as Marine Engineering in Indian Maritime University (IMU).Both are different courses and there will be separate exam for both so you can apply both of them separately.

How will i get admission in IMU?

IMU CET is a national level entrance examinatin through this examination , candidates will get admission in various UG , PG courses in the field of Marine Engineering.

The application form will be beginning from the first week of April 2020 and you can fill it through online mode it will be valid til second week of may 2020.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age criteria : you should be atleast 17 years of age and you apply upto 25 years of age maximum and 5 year relaxation for SC / ST

B.Tech course : candidates must pas 10 + 2 with 60 % and for SC / ST 50 %

B.Sc course : candidates must pass 10 + 2 with 50 % and for SC / ST 45 %

Hi Im Debanjan.. I have qualified the IMU CET for mba 2020. According to the notice the counselling process was supposed to begin from 20th January 2020 but till now I cant find any link to participate in the online counselling process. Please help me.

IMU has not released any information regarding the counselling process yet. And the registration process also hasn't started yet. And there is no official announcement regarding the new date for registration and locking of the choices. So at this point in time, you have to watch out for any official announcement regarding this.
