I need best colleges according to my KCET RANK 208567 OBC CATEGORY 3A

Abhilasha Agrawal 7th Aug, 2025

With a rank around 208k (OBC 3A), reservations greatly help, but top colleges and core branches are out of reach. You can still secure admission to Civil, Mechanical, ECE, IS, or allied branches in colleges like SJBIT, East Point, Oxford College, DSCE, etc., which offer more flexible cutoffs.

2 lakh kcet rank wise colleges in bangalore

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 9th Aug, 2025

With a KCET rank around 2,00,000, in Bangalore you’ll mostly be looking at private/self-financed colleges in the later rounds. You likely won’t get top-tier ones like RV, BMS, or MSRIT, but you can get admission in smaller or mid-level institutes for branches other than CSE in most cases.

Some Bangalore options you could expect:

  • Atria Institute of Technology (ECE, Mechanical, Civil)

  • HKBK College of Engineering

  • PES University – Electronic City Campus (non-CSE branches)

  • East Point College of Engineering & Technology

  • Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology

  • AMC Engineering College

  • City Engineering College

  • Acharya Institute of Technology (in less competitive branches)

At this rank, you’ll have better chances in Mechanical, Civil, EEE, ECE rather than CSE/IT, unless you go through management quota. You should also watch for extended rounds where cutoffs relax and more branches open up.

Muskan Chauhan 5th Sep, 2025

With a KCET rank of 2,30,000 and being in ST category, you can aim for less demanding private colleges like:

- PES college of engineering, Mandya - they accept ST students in branches like civil, mechanical and environmental engineering.

- KLE, Hubli - they have a closing rank between 1,00,000 to 1,50,000

They accept ST student above 1 lakh rank and fees are around 2 to 3 lakh per year.

in kcet exam I get 2 lakh 30 thousand something I was st category can I get computer science In Bangalore

Samriddha Pal 13th Jun, 2025

Hello,

With a ST category rank of approximately 2,30,000 in KCET, securing a seat for CSE in a Bangalore college is highly unlikely. Even the most open branches in Bangalore’s top private institutions typically close well before rank 40,000-60,000, and ST-specific cutoffs can be even stricter.

Hope this helps. All the best!

84000 rank in kcet with general merit best engineering college in Karnataka Course : b.tech electronic and communication

Nikita shahi 23rd Jul, 2025

Hello aspirant,

As you have  scored 84,000 rank in KCET  in General Merit where competition is high in Karnataka. N ow, let’s talk realistic college options for B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). At this rank, it might be hard to get into top-tier colleges like RVCE, BMSCE, or MSRIT, unless you fall under Hyderabad-Karnataka or any reservation quota. But don’t worry! You still have good chances at solid mid-tier and emerging colleges.

Here are some good colleges you may get in Round 1 or 2:

  • Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore
  • AMC Engineering College
  • Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore
  • Siddaganga Institute of Technology (Tumkur) – May need to wait till last round

Keep updated on cutoff trends and attend all rounds including casual vacancy or mop-up rounds. And if you’re open to management quota, more private colleges will be accessible, but fees will be higher.
