Iam an obc student.can i use central non creamy layer certificate for keam application

ganeshwankhede1998 25th Jun, 2021

Dear aspirant,

Yes, you can use your central Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate for KEAM 2021 Application but it should be in the prescribed format as decided by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

To check the prescribed format of the NCL certificate, you can visit the below official website of KEAM 2021:

https://cee.kerala.gov.in/keamonline2021/public/

I registered for KEAM medical and enginnering exam, but now unfortunately I cannot attend the exam. I am a neet aspirant and was going to write keam for practice. Is it ok if I skip it. Will there be any problem when I try uploading neet result If I dont write the exam. Will medical seat beaffected?

Akanksha 2nd Aug, 2021
Hello Aspirant

As per the latest guidelines for medical admissions the admissions for courses like MBBS will take place through NEET in all over India. So do not worry if you are unable to write KEAM 2021.

KEAM is a state level entrance exam for getting admission into engineering, achritecture, pharmacy and other medical allied courses. As you have mentioned that you had applied for engineering as well as for medical paper in KEAM 2021 and wanted to write KEAM medical exam just for practice, then no need to worry. KEAM 2021 medical paper is for getting admission in other medical allied courses such as B.Sc. Agriculture, Forestry, etc.

If you want to pursue MBBS degree then NEET 2021 will be sufficient. NEET 2021 is scheduled on 12 September 2021. So prepare well for it.

All the best!!

is there any chance for me to get admissuin in kannur medical college if i score atleast 480 above in neet 2021 and have a percetage of 79 in 12th cbse bord of2021

Megha Bele 1st Aug, 2021

Hi aspirant

hope you are doing absolutely fine

NEET is the common entrance examination for the admissions in medical, dental, ayush et cetera courses. To be eligible to write NEET, here is the eligiblity criteria

Candidate must secure minimum of 50% aggregate in 10 + 2 higher secondary education from a recognized college/ university. Minimum age must be 17 years of age. The subjects in 10 + 2 higher secondary must be physics, chemistry and biology

As you have mentioned that you got 79 % you are eligible for writing NEET exam.

Coming to the KANNUR MEDICAL COLLEGE MEDICAL SEAT, it is too early to predict the admission on 480 marks. But you have also not mentioned about your category

Chances are high if you come under OBC/SC/ST. For General category. you require marks around 540 to get a medical college. If you score less, you may land up in a private college.

I would suggest you to attend all the counselling rounds and wait for the results as marks fluctuate every year around 10 - 20 marks for cut off

ALL THE BEST

hope it helps

is keam preperation enough for srmjeee? also a second question- ncert maths enough for srmjeee?

chandni deb 21st Jun, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

KEAM preparation should be enough for SRMJEE as both are entrance examinations and have almost similar exam syllabus and pattern. However, some of the portions may vary hence it is advisable that you look into the syllabus and prepare accordingly.

With respect to using NCERT textbook for the preparation of Mathematics is recommended however, it is advisable that you utilize other textbooks as well, which are of competitive examinations level. NCERT textbooks are very useful for the understanding of the topics and getting the basic idea, however for an entrance examination it is best if you utilize other textbooks as well, which have advance level of questions.

You may also solve previous years question papers of SRMJEE to get a better idea of how the questions are asked and to get an idea of the trend of the questions.

I accidently gave the wrong category. Gave General instead of SEBC. But I uploaded non creamy layer. Will it be a problem during admissions or anything else?.

Arhana Chakraborty 29th Jun, 2021

Yeah! Problem can be there as you will not be eligible for the seat based on your category. As you have mentioned you as your GENERAL category then you will not get the reserved category rank and you will get the General Merit Rank.

Now KEAM offers a correction period in which you can change the details. The dates aren't provided yet so keep some patience.

I got 102 marks in Aeee .I have state quota . which branch will I get? is there any chance for cse?

Yalavarthi Kishita 8th Aug, 2021

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing fine.

With a score of 102/180 marks in AEEE 2021 you can expect a rank around 16000. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will release AEEE 2021 cutoff in online mode after the conclusion of all four phases of Amrita entrance test

Candidates will be able to access the cutoff of AEEE 2021 after the conclusion of the AEEE counselling process.

Click the below link for more information.

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff

Now to get into CSE branch from Amrita Coimbatore you should have a rank of 8000 or below if you have state quota. As you have mentioned that you have state quota for Amrita campus then it would have been an added advantage of would have scored around 120-130 marks. You have less chances to get CSE branch. You need a score more than 150 marks to get into CSE branch from any of the Amrita campuses. With your score you can get into Mechanical branch. But still wait for your actual rank list.

Hope this is helpful for you.

Thank you.

medsra159 28th Jul, 2021
Dear leaner,
Due to covid 19, every thing predicted in internet is not true so we could not know about re-open of the college date exactly, regarding class timings ,starts from morning 8:10 to evening 4 pm ,each week atleast 35 hours of classes are conducted , inspite Saturday is also a working day ,compared to other colleges amritha has more number of holidays ,public holidays and so on ,and here usage of phone is strictly restrictive, but laptop are adviced.

Exam schedule is released before one month of commencement
They have 2 end semester and mainly ends at may,June
Duration of semester for btech takes 8 months .
For good attendence students score extra marks in internals
96-100% attendance scores 5 marks
91- 95% attendance scores 4 marks
All the best.

Can an average studying student crack Keam with good rank?

TEJAL SINHA 17th Jun, 2021

Hello, Aleena.

As long as you are committed to achieving your goal, your marks in class 12th won't matter much. However, they should be more than 45-50% in Mathematics as well as Physics and Chemistry depending on your category. Another criteria that hold some weightage here is your nativity. Being a Keralite or a non-Keralite will further determine your chances of cracking KEAM.

So, give your best, talk to your seniors who have taken KEAM before and plan according. All the best!
