i got allotment a college that is first option in first allotment of keam will my other choice cancel in keam . i would like to edit option in second allotment but option confirmation icon not seen in keam why

monag2673 30th Sep, 2024

If you received an allotment for your first choice in the first round of KEAM, your other choices will typically be canceled. Once you accept a seat, the remaining options you selected in your application are usually rendered invalid. This means that you are committed to the college you were allotted, and you will not be able to retain those other choices for future allotments.

Regarding the inability to see the option confirmation icon for editing your choices in the second allotment, several factors could be at play:

1. **Status of Allotment**: If you have already accepted the first allotment, the system may restrict changes to your options as you are committed to that college.

2. **Portal Maintenance**: There might be temporary technical issues or scheduled maintenance on the KEAM portal that prevents access to certain features.

3. **Eligibility Criteria**: Ensure that you are within the designated time frame for editing options and that you meet any necessary requirements.

To resolve this, you may want to refresh the portal, check for any official announcements, or contact the KEAM helpdesk for clarification on your editing options and any technical issues you may be facing. For more information, visit the [official KEAM website](https://cee.kerala.gov.in/).

hope this helps you!!

It is not necessary to accept college at first allotment in keam if you are not satisfied with your college go for upgrade option in your second round but remember you might loose your seat in round 1 if you exercise upgrade option.seat allocation is based on availability so if your choice college is not available in 2nd round they will not allot you.

The reservation category mentioned in my candidate portal is Ezhava whereas in the provisional allotment list of Keam Ayush/allied courses published dated 11/09/2024 my seat type is SM- EZ. Why its so? Am I eligible fully for reservation under ezhava category?

monag2673 11th Sep, 2024

The discrepancy you observe between the reservation category mentioned in your candidate portal (Ezhava) and the seat type in the provisional KEAM allotment list (SM-EZ) can be explained by the way KEAM categorizes seats during the counseling process.

In the KEAM allotment system, **SM** refers to seats allocated under the **State Merit** category, which are open to all candidates based on their rank and merit, irrespective of their reservation category. **EZ** denotes the **Ezhava** reservation category. This means you have been allotted a seat based on your overall merit, but your Ezhava category is also reflected in the seat type.

Yes, you are fully eligible for reservation under the Ezhava category. However, in this instance, the allotment might have occurred through the State Merit list because your rank was high enough to secure a seat without needing to use your Ezhava reservation. In future rounds, if a seat under the Ezhava quota opens up in a higher preference course, you might still be allotted that based on your reservation eligibility.

Ensure you verify all details with the KEAM counseling authorities to clarify any doubts regarding the seat allotment process.

if I have got admission in a college in second allotment in keam and I only half interest there..and if I got didnt admission in another college in the third allotment is there any option for me to cancel my admission in the college where I have got admission in third allotment. please help

Kanishka kaushikii 5th Sep, 2024

Yes, you can cancel your admission in the college where you got admission in the third allotment. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Cancellation Deadline: Each state has its own deadline for canceling admissions. You need to check the specific rules for KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) to find out the last date for canceling your admission.
  2. Refund Policy: Some colleges may have a refund policy, while others may not. You should inquire about the refund policy of the college where you want to cancel your admission. In some cases, you may be required to pay a cancellation fee.
  3. Seat Availability: If you cancel your admission in the third allotment, it will release the seat for other candidates. There is no guarantee that you will get admission in another college in the subsequent allotments.
  4. Future Rounds: If you are not satisfied with the options available in the third allotment, you can wait for the subsequent allotments or rounds of counseling. However, the chances of getting your preferred college may decrease with each round.

It is important to carefully consider your options before making a decision. You may want to consult with a counselor or advisor to help you make an informed choice.

I hope this information helps you.

In keam when you have to upgrade college you choose to participate in round 3 for better option in this case Previous seat will be reserved but when e you get a college from the choices above your allotted institute then the reserved seat will be forfeited and you will get the seat in the newly allotted institute.however if your seat is not upgraded you will get the college which you get through 2nd allotment round.

Can I participate in keam 3rd allotment with higher options if I didnt take admission in the allotted collage in 2nd allotment

monag2673 2nd Sep, 2024

Yes, you can participate in the KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) 3rd allotment with higher options if you did not take admission in the college allotted during the 2nd allotment. Here’s a detailed overview of how it works:

1. **Previous Allotment Status**: If you did not secure admission in the college allotted to you in the 2nd allotment, your status will be considered as "not joined" for that allotment. This means you are still eligible for subsequent allotments.

2. **Higher Options**: When participating in the 3rd allotment, you have the opportunity to include higher preference options in your list. By doing so, you increase your chances of getting a seat in a college or course that better aligns with your preferences.

3. **Re-allotment Process**: In the 3rd allotment, the system will first consider candidates who were allotted seats in previous rounds but did not join. If there are available seats in higher-preference institutions that match your new options, you might be allotted a seat there.

4. **Adherence to Procedures**: Ensure that you follow all the procedures and deadlines set by the KEAM authorities. This includes updating your options accurately, paying the necessary fees, and completing any additional documentation required for the 3rd allotment process.

5. **Seat Confirmation**: If you are allotted a new seat in the 3rd allotment, you must complete the admission process at the newly allotted institution to confirm your seat. Failure to do so will result in losing the opportunity.

In summary, your non-admission in the 2nd allotment does not disqualify you from participating in the 3rd allotment. Make sure to exercise your higher options wisely to maximize your chances of securing a preferred seat.
