Candidates meeting the cutoff must apply and participate in UPCET counselling conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Students interested in MCA must qualify for the TANCET examination and have an undergraduate degree in any discipline, in order to apply for admissions. The students must have Mathematics in grade XI and XII. The students who are accepted through the TANCET exam are called in for MCA counseling.

Students aspiring to take admission in M.S. (Pharma), MBA Pharm Pharmaceutical Management, M.Tech (Pharma) must appear for NIPER JEE. NIPER Hyderabad admission to M.S. (Pharma) and M.Tech (Pharma) is offered based on the counselling procedure. The counselling is based on merit obtained by candidates in the entrance examination. NIPER Hyderabad admission to MBA Pharm Pharmaceutical Management is offered based on the performance of candidates in the entrance examination, group discussion and interview.
