I want to crack the IELTS exam what should i have to do and how many books i have to read. What about syllabus.

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 28th Aug, 2019
Firstly you must get aware of the ielts test format. Once you are aware of the test format, you know what to expect in each section making it easier for you to attempt your questions.

IELTS tests you on the four skills of English language i.e. Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening.

  • Listening: The listening test will be for 30 minutes and is segregated into 4 sections
  • Reading  : The reading test comprises 40 questions, all divided into 3 sections. The time duration for this section is 60 minutes.
  • Writing  The writing test will have 2 tasks and will be for 60 minutes.
  • Speaking : The speaking test consists of 3 parts of 11-14 minutes.
I'll suggest you to practice a lot. Nothing can get you a get score if you do not practice. Use the IELTS practice material to get a better idea of the kind of questions that you might experience during your test.
By practicing you'll come to know about your weak and strong areas.  Ensure to practice more on your weaknesses so that you are well prepared by the time you take the test.
Also I'll recommend you to Familiarise yourself through mock tests so you are well prepared on your actual test day.

All the best

I have taken admission through management quota in a college of Maharashtra , what should be my procedure ?? Do I need to fill for CAP 2 ,3

mayuri fakirde 24th Jun, 2019

Dear Rohit,

If you want direct admission through management quota or NRI quota in a college you don't need to go for CAP round.

You can directly go to the respective college and fill the application form.

If you go through cap rounds you can end up with the benefits of cap round whereas through management quota you have to pay huge amount.

Have patience and do a provisional admission in the college you want and go for cap round, when you'll get good college with your preference then you can cancel the provisional admission.
