Nil Choudhury Student Expert 23rd Jun, 2019

Dear aspirant,

Seeing your urgency, I am not an expert at KEAM councilling but here's what i can advice, After the first round allotment try changing your preference list incase you cannot then retry to change after 2 days because usually the allotment lasts for 2-3 days after that you will be allowed to reshuffle you preference list.

I have the verification slip with the code. Do I go to the KEA site and register and set up a password in the engineering section now?

Nil Choudhury Student Expert 23rd Jun, 2019
Dear aspirant,

Since you are applying for medical, there's no need to register for engineering, You need to login to the kea site just not in the engineering section. I am writing down the steps from a website here feel free to correct me incase am wrong or have missed out

  1. Firstly, candidates will have to register themselves with KEA to appear for NEET counselling for the state quota seats.
  2. Such candidates will have to visit the document verification centre to get their documents verified to prove their eligibility.
  3. After the successful document verification, candidates will receive a secret key to activate their account for the NEET UG counselling for the state quota seats.
  4. Candidates can then login to their account as per the schedule and check the seat matrix for the choice filling.
  5. Candidates can fill the choices as per their preference. First, there will be a mock allotment for the students to have an idea regarding the seat allotment process.
  6. After the mock seat allotment, the window for modifying the choices will be enabled. Candidates can now change or modify their choices if they wish to do so for the actual round 1 seat allotment.
  7. Based on the candidate’s rank, institute cutoff ranks, candidate’s preference, priority, etc., a seat may be allocated to the candidate.
  8. Candidates can now exercise their choice to proceed for the next round. Candidates can accept the seat allotted and report to the respective college for admissions.
  9. Subsequent rounds of seat allotment will be conducted as per schedule and candidates can proceed to participate in the further counselling rounds
