Apart from the Government Forensic Labs, there are also private forensic labs situated in Bangalore and other parts of India who offers Forensic related services for various cases. So you have quite a good option after BSc Forensic Science in the core field.
Now if you wish to go for the IT sector then also you can go for it by giving the off campus drive conducted by TCS, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT etc for all non-technical graduates.
You can appear for the Government service examination such as UPSC CSE, State Civil Service Examination, Police Service examination, SSC CGL, BANK service etc.

Hello,
Rank determines what happens. I would advise you to enroll in any private institution with respectable academics if you are just just passing the cutoff grades or very near to it. Start preparing for the GATE or other competitive tests you choose to pursue in your first year. Do not be discouraged if you are accepted into a private institution because it has several advantages over nit and iits, such as making it simpler to complete the semesters.
Scope of engineering doing from private colleges -
Well, it will be quite difficult for someone with engineering training from a private institution to obtain a suitable career.
Despite the vast breadth of engineering, not everyone is able to find suitable employment. Private institutions typically place more of an emphasis on theoretical knowledge than the practical knowledge students need acquire.
Even though engineering has a wide range of applications, attending a private institution might not help you land a decent career.
Even in private, its all depend on you. You can work hard and get good job.
And if you are confident that by taking a drop will get a government college next year, then you can do it.
Think twice before taking a decision.
Thank You
