Preparation
Hi Raaika
Pune University entrance exam is extremely simple if you are clear on your basics.
If there are just 15–30 days for your exam, it's time to work smart. So instead of giving you the entire syllabus (which is available on the website), I will just list out the topics that will make an appearance in the exam for sure.
Focus specifically on the following topics-
These four from Lehninger, any edition.
Igenetics by Russell, Peter explains these in an easy way. Solve the problems at the back of each chapter.
Kuby should be your guide for this
Ananthnarayan - any edition
Refer to Microbiology by Tortora for this
Cover these topics and you shall pass the exam with flying colors. Make sure you are calm and focused while writing the exam, as a chaotic mind can make a lot of careless mistakes.
Hope it helps :)
Hello aspirant
MH CET is a state level entrance exam. Aspirants are suggested to carefully cover the syllabus. Don't forget to revise regularly .
Students should follow the instructions given by previous year MH CET rank holders .
Here are some tips
• make proper time table - make time table and stick to it.Give definite time to each subject.
• Get your basic right - make a list of basic and fundamental things. Get a booklet of formulae. For organic chemistry , make sure to practice the reactions regularly as it is volatile subject but if you practice regularly then organic chemistry reactions will be on your finget tips.
• practice as many as mock tests, sample tests given by your tutor or institute.
• Don't be panic - study with a relaxed mood. If you study properly then it's easy to cope up.
• In the last seven days you only have to revise. Revise whatever you have completed . Don't start with new topic in last days. Revising make a firm base to your studies.
Hi Shubhang !! Hope you are doing well!! COMEDK is an entrance exam fort taking admission in Karnataka colleges for B.tech course . COMEDK requires basic study and good practice of all the problems . It is quite easy and you can score well if you study properly. It depends on your study and preparatiin.,wether you can cover the whole portion properly in 2 months or not. You need to go through ncert ncert thoroughly atleast and practice some problems and solve previous year problems. If you do these all things properly by giving your time to this time table, you can surely do it in less time. But keep practicing and reading all the concepts from ncert to get a good score. You can score 130+ with ease .
Hi Hemanth
Yes, you can prepare for the ACT and SAT in one month. However, you will have to be very dedicated to the study process. I recommend that you take a practice test first to get a baseline score. I recommend using a study guide that has several tests that you can use. This guide will also analyze your scores based on the type of questions that you get wrong the most.
Then go through those questions and figure out which questions you got wrong the most. This would be where I would start studying.
Quickly familiarize yourself with the ACT and it unique attributes. This will help you in timing yourself so that you answer all of the questions. You will want to answer all of the questions even if you are guessing because guessing is not penalized but not answering is always wrong.
The week before the test take 1 more practice test and study the weakest points there. Don’t study on Friday before the test. Instead do something fun and active like. But make sure you are in bed early and you have packed all the essentials for the test.
The morning of the test, eat a healthy breakfast, dress in layers (in case it is cold/warm) bring your essentials and relax.
All the best !!
Hello,
The eligibility for UPSC is to have attained 21 years and passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, even final year candidates too are eligible to apply fo this,
Now, coming to your question, see UPSC doesn't discriminate hence it has allowed people from every discipline to appear for this prestigious examination, if you're asking this question in reference to success ratios, then let me tell you in the past few years, specially among toppers there have been many people from engineering background, so it all boils down to preparation and strategy. Yes, UPSC is more humanities oriented, and for most of science students they have not read these subjects at 10+2 level,so for them they have to start afresh, but eventually it's your hard work, planning, strategy is what matters.
Common Admission Test (CAT) -2020 is going to be conducted in late November or early December. So, you have around 8-9 months for you preparation.
This time is quite good enough to make yourself ready for the so called toughest competitive exam.
To suggest one or two books for CAT exam wouldn't be sufficient as there is lot of content. You can visit the below link to find names of suggested books, newspapers and activities suggested by experts and toppers divided into sections (as they appear in the exam).

A personal strategy is equally important to crack CAT. To get more information about the same, you can read the following article:
