With a CET rank of 29k, you're likely targeting mid-tier engineering colleges in Karnataka. Here's a breakdown of potential courses and colleges:

Understanding Your Rank:

A rank of 29k means you are in a competitive range, and admission to the top-ranked colleges and highly sought-after courses like Computer Science or Electronics Engineering will be challenging.

Your choices will primarily be in the realm of engineering and potentially some architecture courses.

Potential Courses & Colleges:

Engineering:

Civil Engineering: Some private colleges with this rank might offer Civil Engineering,

Mechanical Engineering: You could potentially get into Mechanical Engineering in some colleges,

Other Engineering Disciplines: You might also consider other engineering fields like Industrial Engineering,

Architecture: Some colleges may offer Bachelor of Architecture programs.

College Examples:

Private Colleges:

Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT): Known for its strong engineering programs,

What is the expected cet ranking to join in top most collages

Bipasha 19th May, 2025

To get admission in topmost colleges through CET, your rank should ideally be:

Below 500 for top branches (CSE, AIML) in top government colleges

Below 1000 for top private colleges with CSE

For reserved categories, the cutoff may go slightly higher

Exact rank varies by state and category. Use the Careers360 CET College Predictor for accurate predictions based on your rank and preferences.

i passed my 2nd pu this year in 2025 with less marks than i expected but i didnt give any supplement exams becoz i was concentrating on NEET now that turned out to be a disaster this year,im planing to join the clg again as 2nd puc repeater and improve my kcet ranking too, can u sugguest me now?

gopi 8th May, 2025

Hello Srusti,

If you are repeating 2nd PUC, focusing on both improving on board marks and KCET rank, don't be disappointed. In fact, repeating a year could add long term value and give you a better chance of getting into your preferred course or college. Remember to be consistent, prepare NCERT well, and practice the past papers regularly. Also remember to do board and KCET/NEET preparation at the same time. Remember, one disappointment cannot change your future, you will get another opportunity and you can comeback stronger.

All the best!

i got 263/300 (pcb) kcet 88/180(pcb) what is my ranking in cet 2025

SUKRITI GUPTA 2nd May, 2025

It's important to understand that your KCET rank is not solely determined by your KCET marks. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) uses a specific formula that gives 50% weightage to your KCET PCB marks and 50% weightage to your 12th standard (or equivalent) PCB marks.

Therefore, to estimate your KCET rank for 2025, we need to consider both your scores:

  • 12th PCB Marks: 263 / 300
  • KCET PCB Marks: 88 / 180

Here's how the composite score for ranking is calculated:

  1. Calculate the percentage of your 12th PCB marks: (263 / 300) * 100 = 87.67%

  2. Calculate the percentage of your KCET PCB marks: (88 / 180) * 100 = 48.89%

  3. Calculate the composite score (50% weightage for each): (87.67 + 48.89) / 2 = 68.28%

Now, to estimate your rank based on this composite score, we need to look at previous years' KCET marks vs. rank trends. Please note that these are just estimates based on past data , and the actual ranks for 2025 might vary depending on the overall performance of all candidates, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of applicants.

Based on the general trends from previous KCET exams, a composite score of around 68 might place you in a rank range of somewhere between 40,000 to 60,000 or even higher.

Can I get pes university with 20k ranking in kcet for ai ml course

lisa 25th Apr, 2025

It is unlikely you will get into PES University's AI/ML program with a KCET rank of 20,000.

For the general category, a KCET rank below 4,600 is generally needed to secure a seat in a B.Tech program at PES University, particularly for AI/ML or Computer Science
