Scope
Chemical Engineering is more to do with designing of the equipment/ chemical process. It involves in depth calculations of the process design of the equipment for eg calculating the heat transfer area of the heat exchanger, calculating the residence time of the reactor or calculate the pressure loss in the line of the pump etc. Thus it has got a lot of practical stuff.
Chemical Technology is the study of different processes in Chemical Industry. For eg. Study of process of production of Ammonia, or study of the process of petroleum refining, study of the process of production of caustic soda etc! Thus it is more theoretical. It involves deep understanding of the effect of operating parameters on the process.
Chemical engineering student have mainly two choices after graduation.
Go for a job in any chemical industry
Go for a further studies
Let's first discuss about scope of job. In chemical industry chemical engineers get job mainly for two post first one as a production engineer and another is as a process engineer. As production engineer they have to deal with production and work related to it. As a process engineer thier main role is process design and development.
Now discuss about further studies. In further studies you can go for post graduation in your core field or you can go for MBA. In core field you can do M.Tech or M.E. in India or foreign. In India thier their are many institutes like IITs, NITs, IISc and many other. If you are interested to do from foreign then thier are lots of universities provide the degree of MS (Master of science).
If you're interested in non core work like marketing, finance, HR then go for a MBA. Most of the entrepreneurs also go for MBA. In India thier a lots of institutes are available like IIMs and many more Universities are available. Even old IITs also provide this course.
Hope you find it helpful
let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
thanks
Good Luck!
Hello Yashasvi !!
With such a good ambition you should definitely go for Bachelors , Masters and then a PhD in Physics.
You will have great opportunities in defence , aeronautical engineering, medicine and healthcare, renewable energy , manufacturing , transportation etc .
You can also do specific engineering courses if you are interested in a particular field .
All the Best.
Hope this helps.
dear aspirant,
Organic Chemistry is one of the most sought after branches in Chemistry. In terms of career scope, organic chemistry is probably the best among all branches of chemistry. Here are some options after an M. Sc. in Organic Chemistry.
hope it helped.
hi!
zoology has it's own pros as it is a core biology subject and closely related to biotechnology.
For for MSc zoology should do BSc zoology but after Bachelors in any sciences you can go for MSc biotechnology.
Biotechnology being an applied science course is still not valued like pure science courses like zoology and botany. I would recommend you to go for zoology.
