Can I get admission in kmc Manipal after 3rd round of counselling? My neet score is 491 and my category is general, domicile of Rajasthan

Aahana Rawat 23rd Oct, 2025

Hey there,

If you achieved a NEET 2025 score of 491, belong to the general category, and are a Rajasthan resident, there is a very slim chance that you can get admission in Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal after the third round of counselling.

However, it is not entirely out of the question depending on the variation of cutoff trends. KMC Manipal is considered among the best private medical colleges in India. Its cutoff for MBBS general category admissions through All India counselling or the Management/NRI quota generally ranges between 540 and 560 marks in the initial rounds.

Yet, at the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds, the cutoff point occasionally lowers marginally  approximately 500 or a little less  in the case of unoccupied seats resulting from the withdrawal of candidates or their shifting to government colleges. You have almost 492 marks which is a little less than the normal cutoff range.

So, you will be able to register for the mop-up as well as the stray vacancy rounds that will be held by MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) and MCC to try your luck. Moreover, KMC has some management quota seats that are given at a higher fee but have more relaxed cutoffs. Therefore, it may not be possible to get a merit seat, but if you are willing to take the management quota or later rounds, you still have a very slim chance.

Can I get admission in kmc Manipal after 3rd round of counselling? My neet score is 491 and my category is general, domicile of Rajasthan

Amisha Soni 23rd Oct, 2025

Hello dear candidate,

It is very hard to get admission in KMC Manipal even after round 3 with 491 marks in general category.

KMC manipal needs above 600 marks for a general seat and by round 3 almost all seats are taken by high scorers.

Thank you.

My son is a nepalese citizen and wants to get admission in Bits pilani in B.tech in 2026 based on SAT score as a international student, what score would be perfect in SAT for pilani campus

Rahul Mandal 18th Oct, 2025

Hello,

For an international student from Nepal applying to BITS Pilani for a B Tech in 2026, a competitive SAT score would likely need to be above 1400 out of 1600.  Based on previous admission cycles, a score in the mid-1400s or higher is ideal, especially for popular programs like computer science. Admission is highly competitive and depends on the specific engineering program your son applies for.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hi,

Your son being a Nepalese national, can apply to BITS Pilani for B.Tech in 2026 under the International Student Admission Scheme (ISAS) basis his SAT score instead of BITSAT. For the Pilani campus, especially for competitive branches like computer science or electronics a SAT score of 1450 -1550 out of 1600 is optimal with at least 750+ in math. Pilani itself usually closes in the range of 1350-1550, but above that most likely nets you a rough shot since there are not many international seats - maybe 1 or so per branch site.

Your son should also have good academic grades in his class 11th and 12th examination preferably more than 85–90% and submit his official SAT scores through the College Board itself for application submitted between January to April, 2026. He will also have to enter his SAT scores as well as upload his academic transcripts, passport information and other relevant documents on the BITS International Admissions portal. All in all, on the back of strong school grades a 1450+ SAT score will ensure that he has a very good shot at being accepted to BITS Pilani’s Main Campus.

Hope it helps!!!

Respected Sir/Madam I am NEET-UG 2025 candidate, looking forward for addmission in medical college across india, my neet score is 147 neet rank is 1080853. Is there be any possibility to get addmission on this score. Looking forward for your reply. Yours faithful Shauryaman Tejaswi Bhagalpur,Bihar

Aahana Rawat 23rd Oct, 2025

Hello Shauryaman,

With a NEET 2025 score of 147 and roughly 10,80,853 as the All India Rank, it can be a bit difficult to get a medical or dental seat at any government or a top-ranked private college in India. The lowest qualifying cutoff for NEET for the general category has been in the range of 138-147 during the last few years. At the same time, for the reserved categories OBC/SC/ST, it is somewhat lower about 108-137.

If you are in the General (UR) category, your score is only at the threshold or very close to it, which means that you can be called for counselling but, to put it mildly, you will not be able to get an MBBS or BDS seat either through the All India Quota (AIQ) or state counselling even in private colleges as their cutoffs are most of the time above 300-400 marks.

Nevertheless, choices are still with you. Certain private deemed universities and self-supporting colleges may provide seats under management or NRI quotas, but these are associated with very high fees.

On the other hand, you can take a look at the paramedical and allied health sciences courses like B.Sc Nursing, BPT (Physiotherapy), BMLT, B.Sc Radiology, or B.Sc Biotechnology that have a bright future in the medical field and also accept lower NEET or non-NEET scores.

In case MBBS is still your target, a gap year is an option for you. Then, you can get back to preparing with the help of a focused coaching session and set your eyes on a score of 500+ that will raise your chances of NEET significantly.

Hope it helps!!!

maine neet 2025 me 191 marks score kiya hai toh kya mujhe koi bsc nursing college mil skta haii ya fir koi aur college government me

Aahana Rawat 15th Oct, 2025

Hi,

Agar aapke NEET 2025 me 191 score hai to government BSc Nursing college me admission hona thoda mushkil hai, khas taur par agar aap general category se hai to. Top colleges jaise ki AIIMS, BHU, aur state medical Universities ke liye 450-500 tak ka score chahiye hota hai general category ke liye. Aur reserved category ke liye 250-350 marks chahiye hote hai.

Magar aap ke aur dusre options bhi hai jaise -

  1. Private BSc Nursing colleges.
  2. State government colleges jinki lower cut-offs hoti hai reserved quotas ke liye.
  3. Aur dusre paramedical and health science courses bhi hai jaise BSc in Medical Lab Technology, Radiology and Physiotherapy.

Good Luck!!!
