I passed my class 12th from CBSE board in the year 2020 but failed to clear JEE Mains. So I prepared my 11th strongly in 2021 but did not fill the form of JEE and then in this academic year I will give the board exam of class 12 from NIOS. Will I be eligible for JEE ADVANCED/BITSAT ??

Sree Student Expert 27th Feb, 2022

Hello aspirant,

You will be eligible for JEE Mains in 3 consecutive years from the year you finish your 12 th standard including that year i.e you are eligible for JEE Mains in 2020, 2021 and 2022. JEE Advanced can be attempted twice in consecutive years.

After qualifying JEE Mains only then you can appear in JEE Advanced entrance exam.

Yes, you'll be eligible for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced in 2022 and if you meet other eligibility criteria like age criteria, minimum 75 marks in 12 th standard in science stream from a recognised Board and 65 percentage for reservation category candidates, etc.

actually I am studying in 12th class in the academic year 2021-22, I have doubt that from which year my eligible attempts of jee mains and jee advanced counted , means from which year I can be eligible to give jee main and jee advanced from 2021 or from 2022?

ayanmukherjee045 26th Feb, 2022

Dear aspirant,

As you are studying in class 12th and you would be giving your 12th boards in the year 2022 so for jee mains you can give attempts in the year 2022,2023,2024 and for jee advanced you can only in the years 2022 and 2023 . In 2024 you won't be eligible to give jee advanced as you can give in only two years consecutively.

Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

I am a student studying in 12th class in the academic year 2021-22, I am not prepared for jee main and advanced this year,I want admission in IIST so I have doubt that if I give both jee main and jee advanced directly in 2023 without appearing in 2022 so can I will be eligible for admission in IIST?

Arhana Chakraborty 7th Apr, 2022

As per the rules of JEE MAINS & ADVANCED if you want to don't appear for the JEE MAINS & ADVANCED 2022 then also you are eligible for the JEE MAINS & ADVANCED 2023 but there is a catch.

JEE MAINS have maximum of 3 attempts i.e., the first attempt is considered to be the year you are in 10+2, the other 2 attempts are in the post 10+2 consecutive years. JEE ADVANCED have maximum of 2 attempts i.e., the first is considered to the year of 10+2 & the other 1 year post 10+2.

So even if you don't sit for the JEE MAINS & ADVANCED keep in mind that for JEE MAINS you will have 1 attempt left after JEE MAINS 2023 & for JEE ADVANCED it would be your final attempt.

I hope this helps. Wish you a great day!

Parneet 25th Feb, 2022
Hello
Hope you are doing well
The key difference between a deemed university and a university is that a deemed university is not a full-fledged university but is given the status of autonomy provided to a university by allotting it the title of deemed by DHE under MHRD on the advice of UGC.

Hello,

Yes, you will be eligible to apply for JEE ADVANCED 2023 if you pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination in the year 2022. A candidate is eligible to apply for JEE ADVANCED for two consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination.
