Hello,

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts admissions to various courses in two cycles in January and July.

Currently the admission for January 2022 cycle hasn't begin. Also the admission in July 2021 cycle has been closed on December 15, 2021.

Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU offers Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree which goes by the name BAG ( Bachelor's of Arts General)  in various disciplines such as History, English, Economics, Mathematics, philosophy, and many more.

The program duration is 3 years which you can complete in a maximum period of 6 years. The course is year wise

Total fees for the course is 7200, that is around 2400 per year.

• In the first year, in addition to INR 2400, a Registration fee of Rs 200 also has to be paid.

• Psychology courses have a Practicum component. Learners opting for Psychology are required to pay an extra fee of Rs 600.

After you take admission in the BA Program and your admission is approved you get your enrollment number. Also you would have to tick marks the option for hard copies of study material during registration. You would get your study material after a month or so since the date your admission is approved.

In the mean time you can download the soft copies of your study material from the egyankosh provided by IGNOU.

I hope you find the answer helpful.

Thank you.

Hello,

You must get the signature of BEO ( Block Education Officer) or DDPI (Deputy Director of Public Instruction) on your study certificate.

Now in detail, Study certificate is just a letter, which states that you’ve studied in the respective Primary/Higher Primary/High School for these standards (like 6th, 10th,12th etc) and academic years (like 2008,2012 etc).

For K-CET document verification, you have to submit the study certificate of every school you’ve studied. Right from your 1st standard primary school to your 10th standard High School. And also from your I and II PUC (11th and 12th).

The proforma (a model, an example) for study certificates will be given in the CET brochures issued by KEA. You have to prepare your certificate like that and get it filled by your respective schools. Some Schools may issue their own study certificates, which may look a bit different in pattern than specified in brochure, but that is also OK and acceptable.

After getting it by schools, you have to take the study certificate either to BEO office of your zone or DDPI office and get it signed, the space provided. That’s it. Now you’ve your study certificate counter-signed by BEO/DDPI.

But for PUC (11th 12th) study certificate counter signature of BEO/DDPI is not needed.

For finding these offices, take the help of your school. They will be having all the information about these offices.

And another thing is, counter-signing by any one of the officers is enough. I mean, if you’ve studied in two or more different places, then the sign of BEO/DDPI of any one place is enough. No need to get it signed by all the BEO/DDPI.

BEO/DDPI themselves will not sign most of the times. Some staffs in their office will sign the certificate. Just go and ask there, and you will get it signed usually in minutes.

That’s it.

Pro Tip: It will be easier for you to get the signature of BEO than DDPI in most cases. At least, that is true in my area.

If you have and doubts, please ask in comments. I’ll do my best to answer.

Thank You!

What is min board exam marks required to write jee mains and get admission to NIT, IIT? I know it says 75% marks but in a tweet, Dr Ramesh pokhriyal said that this eligibility criteria has been waved for the academic year 2021-22

Drishti Yadav 12th Dec, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

following is the current eligibility criteria,

  • general category criteria- 75% in aggregate in class 12th.
  • for SC/ST - minimum 65% aggregate in class 12th.

so, no rise in this percentage has been mentioned  for 2021-22 it is minimum 75% aggregate or should be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th.

Hope this helps....
