academic
Hi Sir,
See this is a very subjective question and the final outcome of it should only be based on the interests of your child. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru is surely a better college in comparison to Kalinga Institute of industrial technology as it has been ranked 4th in the nirf university rankings and 20 th in engineering ranks which is way better than 42nd rank of KIIT in terms of engineering. The academics and discipline of the university is well known across the country and the infrastructure too is mind blowing. The average package here is around 6lpa for EEE.
KIIT is a very costly college but indeed if he is interested in coding and programming you should prefer it as it has good placement records for CSE.
Hope it helps!!

Hi Aspirant,
There is no such rule that you can't make career in Computer Science if you haven't taken CS in 11th and 12th. It is suggested to people that if you get to learn some basics of computer science before your graduation, it will enhance your cs learnings. This you can do by self study too through some online course in free time as hobby. Look not everyone who is pursuing a degree in Computer Science or has a career related to computer has studied Computer science in their Higher Secondary. There are various courses which can give you a head-start in Computer Science field. Some of these courses are BCA, BTech and BSc in Computer Science. For Bachelor of Computer Applications(BCA), the eligibility criteria suggests that a candidate should have successfully completed 10+2 from a recognized university with any subjects(not even Mathematics). For Btech in Computer Science, a candidate should have completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or should have done a three-year diploma programme in any engineering stream to gain admission through lateral entry in the second year. For BSc in Computer Science, the most common eligibility criteria says that candidates should have qualified 10+2 examinations with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board/institute with science subjects (Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics).
