Can I register for the Intermediate course of CA ICAI, while got Third Class in b.com accounting and finance from Annamalai University? Graduated in May 2018.

iammohdshareef 14th Feb, 2020

Graduates in Commerce if they have scored a minimum of 55% of the total marks can directly enrol for CA Intermediate course. When you said 3rd class, you didn't mention the percentage of marks. If it is lesser than 55%, you have to start from CA Foundation. There is no upper age limit but there is aggregate criteria. Check this page: https://students.icai.org/?page_id=7066

Dear Aspirant,

Summer Schools are great, especially for students who wish to learn key concepts and enhance their skills in a short duration. Attending a summer course from a reputed University is a very good prospective for future careers.

1) The London School of Economics and Political Science offers over a 100 summer courses. The session one is from 22nd June-10 July,2020.

a)Economics: Introductory Microeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Real Estate Economics and Finance, Financial Markets and the Global Economy: the History of Bubbles, Crashes and Inflations ,Introduction to Econometrics, Computational Economics, International Economics

b)Finance: Alternative Investments, Options, Futures and Other Financial Derivatives

2) Frankfurt School of Finance and Management :  It is a less than one month full time course on campus. It is part of the summer school called "The Finance Boot Camp". The criteria  for eligibility is the completed student status (Bachelor or Master or MBA) and you would have to submit your academic record transcripts too along with a motivation/recommendation letter.

3) University of Southampton : Financial Management for Businesses in a Globally Competitive Market( fundamental financial management, management accounting and financial reporting areas). Students will be exposed to business management and operations in this 4 weeks course.

4) Global Banking School: This school in London is exceptionally good in teaching the application of Finance and Banking. They offer professional educational courses and industry experience along with complimentary career guidance. The Elite Global Investment Banking internship offered at this school is for a duration of one month.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Sir,I have completed b.com honours accounting and finance under Calcutta University i got 45% in b.com.So m.com or mba which one will be best for me and from which college or university i can opt m.com or mba and any other carrier option

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 30th Nov, 2019
Hello.
basically it depends upon your passion where you want to go but still there is a difference between Mcom and MBA , Mcom include proper commerce or accounting knowledge while MBA includes management knowledge.
as far as  your marks in your graduation considered so Mcom is a better option for you because if you want to opt MBA from reputed college like IIM's then it will be valuable and they consider you academic scores too in 10,12 , graduation.
I am providing a link below where you can see all m com colleges in India.

Best of luck.
