IP university takes admission to BTech on basis of CRL in JEE mains paper 1. What if you do the registration and later your CRL is improved in JEE attempt 2. is there option to update the CRL or you need to do fresh registration again or IP university does not consider it at all ?

kumardurgesh1802 8th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

IP University (GGSIPU) considers the best CRL (Common Rank List) from JEE Main Paper 1 for B.Tech admissions. Here’s how it works:

1. If You Register with JEE Main Attempt 1 Rank

  • You can still update your CRL after JEE Main Attempt 2 if your rank improves.

  • IPU usually provides an option to update JEE rank before the counseling process starts.

    2. Is Fresh Registration Needed?

  • No, you do not need fresh registration.
  • You will be given a window to edit/update your details in the application portal.

    3. How to Update CRL in IPU Counseling?

  • After JEE Main results (April attempt), IPU releases a notification for rank updates.

  • You can log in to your IPU application portal and update your best CRL .
  • If no update option is provided, IPU may automatically consider the best rank .

    4. When Should You Check for Updates?

  • Keep an eye on IPU’s official website (ipu.ac.in) after JEE Main Session 2 results.

  • Check the IPU B.Tech counseling brochure for any official rank update guidelines.

IP University considers the best CRL from both attempts , so you will get a chance to update it.

Is neet exam is difficult if I refer scert books can I get a good mark on neet???and what is the cutoff of neet to get admission for mbbs in south india?????is there is a possibility to get neet when repeat for neet if they get 300 mark by practice only 1 month???????

kumardurgesh1802 6th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

NEET Difficulty and SCERT Books :

NEET is a competitive exam, and while SCERT books (State Council of Educational Research and Training) can help build a foundation, they may not be sufficient on their own for scoring high marks. NEET requires in-depth knowledge of subjects like Physics , Chemistry , and Biology at a higher level. You should ideally refer to NCERT textbooks , previous years' papers , and NEET-specific study materials for better preparation.

NEET Cutoff for MBBS in South India :

The NEET cutoff for MBBS seats varies depending on factors such as the category (General, OBC, SC, ST), the college , and the state . For top medical colleges in South India (like AIIMS , JIPMER , and state government colleges ), the cutoff can range from around 550 to 700 marks for general category students, while for reserved categories , it could be lower (around 400 to 500 marks ). Always check specific college cutoffs for the most accurate information.

Possibility of Scoring 300 in NEET with One Month of Practice :

If you score 300 marks in NEET after just 1 month of practice , it could be challenging to significantly improve unless you already have a strong foundation in the subjects. However, with focused and consistent practice on high-yield topics and important chapters, it is possible to improve your score in a month. Key strategies should include:

  1. Prioritize Important Topics : Focus on areas with high weightage like Biology , and Physical Chemistry .

  2. Take Mock Tests : Take as many mock tests as possible to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and time management.

  3. Revise : Spend time revising key concepts and formulas, especially in Physics and Chemistry .

  4. Stay Consistent : Consistency and proper time management in the final month are crucial.

It’s tough, but with intense dedication, some improvement in score is possible.

I appeared for the JEE Main 2025 exam on January 28, Shift 1, which was the toughest. I belong to the SC category and am a resident of Madhya Pradesh. I am scoring 55 marks in this paper. Can I get admission to SGSITS College Indore in the CSE or Mechanical branch?

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Feb, 2025

Hello Manish,

With a score of 55 marks in JEE Main 2025 and considering your SC category, getting admission to SGSITS Indore for CSE or Mechanical might be challenging, especially for the more competitive branches like CSE. The cutoff ranks for these branches tend to be higher.

However, since you belong to the SC category, you may have some advantage in the counseling process. For a more accurate prediction, you will need to check the previous year's cutoff trends for these branches in SGSITS, which can give you an idea of whether your score will meet the eligibility.

It’s recommended to stay updated on the official counseling process and apply accordingly, as some seats might be available in these branches based on the category quota.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Can I get admission in IISc Bangalore through JEE mains only with 99 percentile or getting good rank is also matter in it ?

Shivanshu 31st Jan, 2025

Dear aspirant !!

Hope you are doing well !

Yes, you can get admission in IISc UG through JEE Main. If you score a very good rank in JEE Main but not in JEE Advanced, then you can get into IISc on the basis of JEE Main rank only.

a JEE Main rank under 250 is generally required for BSc Research, while for BTech, a JEE Advanced rank within the top 1000-2000 is usually needed.

Hello,

Yes, apart from IITs, several other institutions use JEE Mains/Advanced for admissions:

1. NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs – Admit students through JEE Main.

2. IISc Bangalore & IISERs – Accept JEE Advanced scores.

3. BITS Pilani & VIT – Have separate exams but may consider JEE scores.

4. State Engineering Colleges– Some states like UP, MP, Haryana, and Odisha use JEE Main for B.Tech admissions.

I am Class 12 passed student and I have taken admission in B.Sc but have not appeared in B.Sc Ist year Exam. Which Qualifying Exam Code I should fill in NEET Application 2025.

Poral Siddartha (siddu) 24th Jan, 2025

If you have passed Class 12 and taken admission in a B.Sc. program but haven’t appeared for your first-year B.Sc. exams yet, you should select Code 02 in the NEET 2025 application form.

Code 02 is meant for candidates who have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, and are not yet pursuing or completing their first-year degree exams. This code fits your situation perfectly.

If I get good marks in jee mains and not good in jee advance, will there be any hindrance in getting admission in IISc Bangalore for bs program? Please tell the advantages and disadvantages..

Anuska Bakuly 21st Jan, 2025

Hello Siddhi,

Admission to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, for the Bachelor of Science (Research) program primarily depends on your performance in various national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, KVPY, and NEET-UG. For the BS program, IISc accepts JEE Main scores, making it a crucial exam for students applying through this route.

If you perform well in JEE Main but not in JEE Advanced, it won’t necessarily affect your chances of getting into IISc for the BS (Research) program, as JEE Advanced scores are not required for this specific course. IISc’s admission criteria for the BS program focus on JEE Main performance, and many students have successfully gained admission based on their JEE Main ranks. However, for other courses and programs, JEE Advanced may be a requirement, and a lower score in JEE Advanced could impact your eligibility for those programs.

It’s important to keep in mind that IISc establishes specific cutoff ranks for each entrance exam, and these cutoffs change every year based on the number of applicants and available seats. For instance, last year’s cutoff ranks for JEE Main ranged from 241 to 353 for the BS (Research) program. This range can provide insight into the competition, and aiming for a high score in JEE Main is essential for securing admission.

In summary, while achieving a good score in JEE Main is enough to gain admission to the BS (Research) program at IISc, a lower score in JEE Advanced will not necessarily affect your admission, provided you excel in JEE Main. However, doing well in JEE Main will enhance your chances of obtaining a favourable rank and securing a place in this esteemed institution.

Is it better to take admission through JEE mains only in IISc bangalore for bsc mathematics or through JEE advanced is better?

vinayak kansal 21st Jan, 2025

There are two points to be taken into consideration:

Choose JEE Advanced : If you qualify and can secure a good rank, it is a better and more recognized route to IISc, particularly for a competitive program like B.Sc. Mathematics.

Choose JEE Main: If your JEE Main rank is exceptional and meets IISc's competitive cutoffs, this route is also valid but slightly less advantageous compared to JEE Advanced.

Aiming for JEE Advanced is generally the better pathway to maximize your chances at IISc Bangalore.
