Aerospace Engineering
Hello,
One of the most sought-after majors for students who want to work with space shuttles, aeroplanes, and other aircraft is "Aerospace Engineering."
The students' proficiency in mathematics, physics, and chemistry is one of the course's fundamental prerequisites. After completing their 10+2 science requirements with a satisfactory grade (more than 50%)
In India, there are three different aeronautical engineering course categories.
As per your query, you are eligible to apply in aerospace engineering.
Thank You
As you secured 97.8 percentage in class 12th let me tell you that it's a good score but your jee mains percentile is a bit low so you will definitely get a seat over there but one can't predict the exact branch that you will.
There are chances for you to get electrical and electronics and the core branches but there are factors to be considered like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
Bachelor of Technology in Aerospace Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergrad designing system presented by the School of Mechanical Engineering at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, and supported by AICTE. The course began in the year 2016 at KIIT.
Here are some the colleges in India that offers lateral entry for Aerospace Engineering -
Hope this will help you....Good Luck!
Top colleges for aerospace engineering in India are as follows-
1. Dayanada Sagar college of engineering, banglore.
2. AMC college of engineering, Banglore
3. Manipal institute of technology, Manglore
4. Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology
All colleges require you to pass 12th standard with PCM, some have entrance tests as well. ALL THE BEST !
Hello Aspirant,
As you got 41.6% this too much less in order to get seat in Amrita Coimbatore in Aerospace Engineering. According to previous year cutoff Aerospace Engineering cutoff reaches to SC/St Category (open & State quota) - 1-15000, 15001-25000. It's not like only Graduates from IIT's or NIT's are successful. Colleges like SRM, BITS, MIT are also good and provide really good opportunities for the students. If you want to pursue Aerospace Engineering then both SRM & Chandigarh University don't have a good placement record.
I would suggest you to opt for Computer science engineering as it has massive scope in the near future and it is emerging as an evergreen field now. You should Choose SRM over Chandigarh University as it has a better placement record with some of the best companies in their respective fields.
If you are studying in a private university then you have to maintain a good academic record so that when the companies come for in campus placements they can hire you at a good pay.

All the best !!
Aerospace Engineering is not mandatory to join ISRO. If you want to do engineering after 12th and after want to join ISRO then you can pursue B.Tech/ B.E. any of the following specialization-
If you don't get into IISC, IIT or NIT, after completing your B.Tech/B.E from any Institution/college you can take the test that is conducted by ISRO. This test includes a written exam and a personal interview.
You can also join ISRO after your Post Graduation. If you don't want to do B.Tech/B.E. then you can pursue Bachelor's and Masters in Physics. After that also you will able to join ISRO.
Hope this information will help you.
Hi aspirant...!
Hope you're doing great...!
So, with regard of you're query. You can pursue Aerospace Engineering after earning your Mechanical Engineering diploma. Candidates with a diploma are eligible to study engineering under the lateral entrance program.
Some engineering universities provide direct admission through the Management Quota program.
However, some universities need you to take an entrance exam.
Aerospace engineering is only available from a small number of colleges.
The field of aerospace engineering is fairly broad.
