if the percentile is 25.67 in aeee will one get Btech in aerospace in Coimbatore Amritha under slab 3?
Hello there,
Based on your AEEE percentile of 25.67 , securing a B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Coimbatore campus under Slab 3 is highly unlikely. Historically, admission to Aerospace Engineering at the Coimbatore campus requires significantly higher percentiles. For instance, in previous years, the closing ranks for Aerospace Engineering were around 16,796, corresponding to much higher percentiles.
Given your current percentile, it would be prudent to explore alternative engineering branches or consider other campuses where the cutoff percentiles align more closely with your score. Additionally, you might want to look into other institutions that offer Aerospace Engineering with more accessible admission criteria.

Hello, i want to ask about the honest review about btech in aerospace engineering at amity or mtech. Not the ones that are available on internet. I want a review by self experience pls help!!!!!!
Hello Palak,
I don’t have personal experiences, but I can provide an
honest review
based on
student feedback, faculty quality, placements, and industry exposure
at
Amity University
for
B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering
.
Pros:
-
Decent Infrastructure
– Well-equipped labs and research facilities for aerodynamics, propulsion, and materials.
-
Good Faculty (Mixed Reviews)
– Some experienced professors, but many are from general engineering backgrounds, not specialized in aerospace.
-
Flexible Curriculum
– Industry-oriented subjects and electives help in career development.
-
Industry Tie-ups
– Collaborations with ISRO, DRDO, and private aerospace companies like Boeing for projects.
Cons:
-
Placement Issues
– Aerospace jobs are
very limited
. Most students switch to IT or general engineering roles due to fewer core job opportunities.
-
High Fees (Rs. 3-4 LPA)
– The return on investment (ROI) is
low
unless you secure an off-campus job.
-
Lack of Hardcore Research
– Not as strong as IITs or specialized institutes like IIST in terms of research in
propulsion, avionics, or space tech
.
-
More Theoretical, Less Practical Exposure
– You may need to do internships outside to gain hands-on experience.
Verdict:
-
If you want to stay in
India and work in aerospace
, consider
IIST, IITs, MIT Manipal, or UPES
instead.
-
If you want
a private university with decent exposure
,
Amity is fine
, but you must plan for
higher studies (M.Tech/MS abroad) or transition into software/IT
for better opportunities.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
I am physically handicapped student. I want a site in aerospace engineering . How much rank should I get in mains
As a physically handicapped (PwD) student aspiring to study Aerospace Engineering in India through JEE Mains, the rank you need depends on the specific institute and category (General-PwD, OBC-PwD, SC/ST-PwD) are:
For Admission to IITs through JEE Advanced:
General PwD: Aim for a JEE Advanced PwD rank under 400. Top IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Kanpur offer aerospace programs.
OBC/SC/ST PwD: A slightly higher rank may suffice, but aim for under 600 to increase your chances.
For Admission to NITs through JEE Mains:
To secure a seat in Aerospace Engineering in NITs (e.g., NIT Trichy or NIT Surathkal):
General PwD: Aim for a JEE Main PwD rank under 1500.
OBC-PwD: Rank under 2000.
SC/ST-PwD: Rank under 3000.
Other Institutes Offering Aerospace Engineering:
IIIT Hyderabad
BITS Pilani (requires BITSAT)
Private Colleges (like SRM, Manipal) that have relaxed criteria for PwD candidates.

how good is the aerospace department in Vit Bhopal ??
Hello,
The Aerospace Engineering department at VIT Bhopal is relatively young because the campus was established in 2017. The quality of infrastructure in the college is excellent, and so are general education standards, but, compared to Computer Science and Electronics streams, placement support in Aerospace Engineering as a discipline is not as solid as it should be. Very limited numbers of students get core placements in an aerospace-related role; rather, most students move out into other fields or into a masters' program.
Faculty quality at VIT Bhopal for Aerospace Engineering has mixed reviews. Return on investment for this specific program might not be that great when compared to other colleges with a strong aerospace program, such as IITs or NITs. If you want more exposure and job opportunities in industry with Aerospace Engineering, then maybe you should look into some of the other institutes which have a more established reputation in the field.
In case you are planning on joining VIT Bhopal, then weigh out its packages relative to what other options might hold for you, particularly to a specific program such as Aerospace Engineering.
which is the best college to opt for aerospace engineering in terms of placement , faculty and infrastucture ?
To be eligible for aerospace engineering, candidates must have passed class 12th with Science stream from an recognised board . You can join aerospace engineering through one of the popular national level entrance exam IIT. Some of the best institute for aerospace engineering in terms of infrastructure, placements are
. IIT Madras
. IIT Bombay
. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Trivandrum

Hi How well equipped is the aerospace lab at the college ?
If we talk about the department Aerospace Engineering colleges is all about designing and building aircraft and spacecraft. It’s a very crucial field, especially with the growing interest and future in space exploration.so there is necessity of well equipped material that should be provided by the college which will be helpful to students to learn the course.
Some colleges might not use high-tech tools and machinery, students may find simple models that look more like school projects than real engineering resources. This can be average and negative side for students who want hands-on experience in their field.so it is necessary to check with the college if they are providing good equipment or not.
Goid luck!!!
I am pursuing my B.Tech in CSE(Ai&Ml),But i am passionate about aerospace engineering. Can i appear GATE aerospace engineering after completing my B.Tech in CSE(Ai&Ml)? if possible, please tell me the cprrect path to follow.
Hello,
Yes, you can take the GATE exam in Aerospace Engineering after completing your B.Tech in CSE with a specialisation in AI & ML. The GATE exam opens up opportunities to many engineers from diverse engineering streams for most of the subjects, including that of Aerospace Engineering provided one's eligibility criteria for participation are aligned with that required by the conducting authorities.
Here is your suggested plan to pursue:
Do you understand GATE Eligibility ? Verify whether you meet the eligibility criteria for Aerospace Engineering. They generally accept candidates with a degree in engineering or technology.
Study Syllabus: Review the GATE Aerospace Engineering syllabus. Focus on a few important streams of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics which are not a part of your CSE course.
Study Materials: Get study material that shall include books, online course materials, and particular GATE preparation books specific to Aerospace Engineering.
Solving previous years' GATE papers is very important to understand the pattern of the exam and what questions are most asked.
Coaching or Study Groups : One may take coaching classes or join a study group where guided preparation is provided for Aerospace Engineering.
Higher Studies: If, after the GATE exam, you are interested in a career in aerospace, you must seriously consider that you would want to do a Master's in Aerospace Engineering to further improve your knowledge and skills in the field.
By following the above steps, you certainly can make the transition from CSE to Aerospace Engineering, but this time by making proper preparations for GATE.
