Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts the KCET for the admission in B.Sc Agriculture/ B.Tech Agriculture Engineering courses. Candidates must have valid score cards of KCET to become eligible for admission process. Some of the seats are reserved under Agriculturist Quota. Candidates from this category has to appear for practical examination also and has to secure atleast 50% marks in it. If you belong to this category you have to give both only KCET will not make you eligible for the admission process.

Yes , you can write the PCB exam in KCET for admission into Bsc . Agriculture after your 12th grade. For admission into B.Tech Agriculture , you'll need to write the PCM exam and reach the desired cutoffs.

If you seek admission in BTech after diploma then you have to go for Lateral Entry examination. Now if you qualify any lateral entry then in general you can change your subject to any other department such as Civil, ELectronics, ELectrical etc. But most of the college offering BTech Agricultural Engineering via lateral entry examination asks for an Diploma in Agricultural engineering only. Thus depending on which college you are taking admission in, its entirely dependent whether you are eligible or not.
