Hello aspirant,

The job oppurtunities for B.Tech in agricultural engineering at TNAU are not that good. There are no internships oppurtunities for them. Around 55% of the students from the last batch got placed and the salaries which were offered ranges from Rs . 20,000 per month to 25,000. Biocon and a few other MNC's offer jobs for us.

Hello aspirant,

It is appreciated that you are showing your interest towards learning agriculture. Admissions for TNAU is purely based on merit. However TNAU considers marks scored in all four subjects.(pcmb)

The Eligibility Criteria is solely based on the Category distribution. It varies accordingly as 55%, 50%, 40% aggregate as per the Category you're representing. Since, it is a merit based process, the cut off marks may vary depending on several factors such as No.of.applications, The over all cut-off, Available no of seats. You've come up with the percentage of 81, it is well and good to choose your priority wisely. Have your priority list as per the ranking of the colleges, and there are plethora of chances to get admissions in the top ranking colleges. The best colleges, I would suggest is;

  1. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) - Coimbatore
  2. Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute - Trichy
  3. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Coimbatore
  4. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Killikulam
  5. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Thanjavur
  6. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Vazhavachanur
  7. The Gandhigram Rural Institute Deemed University - Dindigal
  8. Imayam Institute of Agriculture and Technology (IIAT) -Trichy
  9. Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA) - Erode
  10. College of Agriculture Technology (CAT) - Theni
