our college took late admission in bsc agriculture 4 y degree program which is the consequence of our late degree. we get the degree very late so to complete 4 y at the same time we are deprived of many job opportunities. authority says there will be problem in future so what alternative solu

kumardurgesh1802 6th Mar, 2025

Hello Kirti,

If your B.Sc. Agriculture degree is delayed due to late admission by the college, it can impact job opportunities and higher studies. Here’s what you can do:

Possible Consequences:

  1. Delayed Degree & Certificates – This can affect applying for government jobs, higher studies (M.Sc.), or competitive exams.

  2. Missed Job Opportunities – Many agriculture-related job exams and recruitments have age limits or specific passing years as criteria.

  3. Future Issues – If the university records show a delay, it might cause verification problems later.

    Alternatives & Solutions:
  1. Request an Official Letter – Ask the college to provide an official letter stating the reason for the delay. This can help in job applications and future verification.

  2. Parallel Certifications & Internships – Utilize the extra time to do agriculture-related certifications (ICAR, NABARD, etc.) or internships to strengthen your resume.

  3. Apply for Exams in Advance – Some exams allow appearing final-year students, so check eligibility and apply without waiting for the degree.

  4. Legal or Administrative Action – If a large number of students are affected, collectively request the university to provide a resolution. If needed, approach higher education authorities.

If your college is affiliated with a university, contact the university registrar to explore if any academic relaxation is possible.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

i didnt register for 1st attempt, now i registered as obc ncl and entered income 8L and above (since rule is diff for grade C govt officer) is it gonna be a problem or not ?(income excluding salary and agriculture income is not 8L+)

Poral Siddartha (siddu) 28th Feb, 2025

If your parents are Group C government employees, their salary and agricultural income are not counted in the 8 lakh OBC-NCL limit. Since you declared income above 8 lakh, it may raise verification concerns. It's best to consult authorities for clarification.

I got 45% in (P.C.B.) in 12th and 61% in (P.C.B., English and Hindi) overall in 12th Class. Am I eligible for admission in BSc (hons) Agriculture ? What is 12th class eligibility? Only P.C.B marks are observed or overall marks from 12th class are taken into consideration for Admission in BSc Hons agriculture?

kumardurgesh1802 23rd Feb, 2025

Hello there,

To be eligible for BSc (Hons) Agriculture, most universities focus on 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Since you have 45% in PCB , you might fall short of the typical requirement. However, some universities offer relaxation for reserved categories .

In some cases, universities might also consider your overall marks (including English and Hindi), and since you have 61% overall , you could meet their aggregate requirements.

Check with the specific university for detailed eligibility and any relaxation they might offer.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Sir what is cutoff for jee mains to get admission in MPKV rahuri for Btech in agriculture ? Is the cutoff percentile same for jee mains and MHTCET ?

kumardurgesh1802 16th Feb, 2025

Hello Kunal,

Admission to the B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering program at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, is primarily based on scores from entrance exams like MHT CET and JEE Main. The specific cutoff percentiles for these exams can vary annually based on factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability.

While exact cutoff data for recent years isn't readily available, it's important to note that the cutoff percentiles for MHT CET and JEE Main are not necessarily the same, as they depend on the respective applicant pools and exam standards.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding cutoff scores and admission criteria, it's advisable to consult the official MPKV Rahuri admissions page or contact their admissions office directly.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

I have taken arts in 12th i want to do Phd can i do from agriculture

Mitali Sharma 13th Feb, 2025

Hello

Since you have taken Arts in 12th pursuing a PhD in Agriculture directly is not possible. To do a PhD in Agriculture, you need a relevant academic background in science.

Here’s what you can do:

1. Check Eligibility for BSc in Agriculture :

Most universities require Science (PCB/PCM) in 12th for BSc Agriculture.

However, some private universities may offer diploma courses in agriculture that you can pursue and later transition to a BSc.

2. Alternative Route via Arts Background:

If you are interested in agricultural research from an Arts perspective , you can pursue a BA in Rural Development , Agricultural Economics or Environmental Studies.

After that, you can do an MA in related fields and then a PhD in Agricultural Economics, Rural Studies or Agri-Policy.

If you are open to interdisciplinary research (like policy-making in agriculture, rural sociology or environmental law) you can still work in the agriculture field with an Arts background.

hope this helps you .
