Agriculture
At 16 percentile in MHT-CET, it might be difficult to get into top-tier government agriculture colleges like MPKV Rahuri, VNMKV Parbhani, or PDKV Akola.
However, you can consider:
Private agriculture colleges affiliated with State Agricultural Universities. Management quota seats (if financially feasible). Apply for diploma or B.Sc. in Horticulture/Allied Sciences as an alternative path.
Do keep an eye on cap round counselling dates, and you may also consider re-attempting MHT-CET next year with better preparation if you're targeting a top institute.
Wishing you the very best in your agricultural career!
Thank you.
With a practical rank of 2,032 in 3B category, you have a good chance of getting a B.Sc Agriculture seat in government colleges in Karnataka. Colleges like GKVK Bangalore, Dharwad, Mandya, Hassan, and Shimoga had 3B cutoffs up to 2,800–3,100 ranks in previous years.
Hello!
A percentile of 87 in MHT CET Agriculture, combined with an ST reservation, gives you good options for BSc Agriculture in Maharashtra.
Fill your choices during MHT CET CAP counseling through the DTE Maharashtra portal. Prioritize colleges in reserve and open quotas early. Also, some newer private universities offer scholarships for ST candidates with MHT CET scores between 80–90 Percentile.
Best wishes!
Hello aspirant,
Admission to B.Sc Agriculture depends on a few things: your marks, the entrance exam you gave (like ICAR AIEEA or state-level CET), and the category you belong to. If you meet the eligibility criteria and have a decent score, yes, you can get admission. Also, some private universities offer direct admission if seats are available. Just make sure the college is recognized by ICAR or UGC. Start applying early, keep your documents ready, and participate in counselling rounds. You have a good chance—just stay updated and don’t miss deadlines.

Hii,
No, you can’t pursue both B.Sc Agriculture and B.Sc Nursing together in regular mode. Both are full-time degree programs and require practical sessions, labs, and attendance, which clash in terms of schedule. Agriculture is more field-oriented and involves crop science, soil science, etc., while Nursing is a paramedical course that needs hospital-based clinical practice and rigorous training. The universities also don’t permit simultaneous enrollment in two full-time courses due to academic policy. However, if one course is in distance mode like IGNOU or Open University and the other is regular, it might be technically possible but managing both will still be very challenging for you . So practically and academically, it's better to focus on one course at a time. Choose the one that aligns more with your career interest.
Thank you
