Hello Pragathi,
When completing your degree in veterinary from the Ranchi Veterinary College - Birsa Agricultural University, you will become eligible for UPSC and other jobs in the central level government, even if it doesn't receive recognition from the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) at this time.
However, if you want a job which requires a VCI recognized veterinary degree, you will need VCI recognition for jobs like Central government veterinary post and higher studies in some institutions. Therefore, even though no recognition from VCI does not change your overall eligibility to enter in services like UPSC or other civil services etc., you may find limited career choices in the veterinary field without formal recognition by the VCI.
Yes, you can join B.Sc. Agriculture through lateral entry after completing a diploma in agriculture. This means you can enter directly into the second year of the B.Sc. Agriculture course.
Some colleges and universities in India offer lateral entry for diploma holders. For example, Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University in Jaipur offers B.Sc. Agriculture lateral entry for students with a diploma. Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth in Maharashtra also allows diploma students to join B.Sc. Agriculture.
Many state agricultural universities also follow ICAR rules that allow diploma holders to enter directly into the second year or third semester of the B.Sc. Agriculture course.
In Telangana, you can apply for lateral entry through the AGRICET exam. It is conducted for diploma holders who want to join B.Sc. Agriculture in colleges like PJTSAU.
To get admission, you must have passed your diploma with a good percentage. The process may include an entrance exam or direct admission depending on the university.
With a CUET score of 495 out of 1250, getting admission to Pusa Agriculture is quite unlikely, especially for the general category. The cutoffs for top agriculture colleges like RPCAU are usually higher. You may still have a chance in lesser-known universities or through state-level counselling if your category cutoffs are lower.
There are 60 seats in the BSc Agriculture at NSC.
Hello,
The four year undergraduate bsc agriculture curriculum focuses on the scientific study of farming methods, soil science, plant breeding agronomy, and other topics.
So, Here's the Top colleges for B.Sc Agriculture:
There are many colleges like this which admit students via ICAR AIEEA UG, state - level entrance examination or 12th merit based.
Securing a b.sc agriculture seat at prestigious Andhra Pradesh Government College is improbable for someone with a 30170 AP EAMCET score, but there is a decent probability of getting into private colleges or other establishments. Your ranking is in the June where private universities are easier to get into.
