AICTE
Hi Rahul !
AICTE and UGC are the apex regulators in Indian education. They have indeed done a very good job of offering quality education to masses.
One of the main differences between AICTE and UGC, is that the former is exclusively formed for technical education.
While technical institutions are overlooked by the AICTE, the other universities and colleges fall under the UGC.
UGC approves universities in the country. It provides funds for affiliated universities and colleges. The AICTE is only a statutory body, which deals with co-ordinated development and proper planning of the technical education system in the country.
Another difference that can be seen is that the UGC is free to do whatever it likes, but AICTE is not free from the intervention of the Human Resources Development Ministry.
Hope this clears your doubt:)
hi,
see the students who have qualified the gate exam before the date of admission in any particular college are eligible to apply for gate scholarship. according to your case, you have already taken admission in 2020, so you can not avail the gate scholarship based on 2021 score since your admission is already done. but if you quit the current course and again take admission in first year based on gate 2021 score you would be eligible to apply for scholarship. to know more about the scholarship, eligibility please follow the link ,

Dear Student,
One of the main difference between University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is that the later one basically deals with technical education and Technical institutes are overlooked by the AICTE, the other universities and colleges fall under the UGC.
UGC is the apex body that approves universities in the country. UGC provide funds for affiliated universities and colleges.
A candidate can get government jobs by both the colleges whether it is approved by UGC or AICTE.
Thank You.
Hi,
The duration of the M.C.A course was three years. It was in demand that the MCA course should be of two years duration. Considering this UGC approved this purposal. So now from the academic session 2020-2021 the M.C.A course will be of two years duration.
you can read the news about this decision on the link - https://news.careers360.com/aicte-reduces-duration-of-mca-degree-course-2-years
