Yes, you can go for the course selection. It is different from Engineering courses. Along with the issue faced in aircraft Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), it is the branch of engineering that involves the repair, maintenance and troubleshooting .
AME is an international program and it is regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. Aircraft can fly with its safety certification by an appropriately License holder AME.
Candidate has to undergo 2 years regular academic program conducted by the DGCA approved AME institutes. With 2 years training in Airline or MRO Industries Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a 4 years License program tentatively.

An early career Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with 1-4 years of experience earns an average total compensation of 505,069. A mid-career Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with 5-9 years of experience earns an average total compensation of 884,372. It depends on your experience.
