You can get admission in Aligarh Muslim University as most of the students wait for JEE Mains and JEE Advance results and they cancel their admission if they are selected in NITs and IITs. 

In 2016 waiting list cleared upto 300 and in 2017 waiting list cleared upto 350 so there are good chances for your admission but you might not get the desired branch.

Congartulations for getting that rank,but i wanted to ask you is 66  your rank? or marks.well last year cutoff mark for AMU btech is 67 and 65 before year but if 66 is your rank then you will definetly get a seat in that college.

As you have got 7 rank in waiting list in aligarh Muslim university, yes you have chances to get B.Tech CSE or ECE but I would like you to know that by the time the counselling reach the waiting round , almost all seats are filled , so you may not have the choice to get CSE or ECE only. So I would suggest that you keep that in mind and go for more branches so you have a good chance to get in. I hope it helped 

Yes you can get Mechanical Branch quite easily considering that your AMUEEE score and rank is pretty good. But we can never guarantee the ease upto which you'll get admission. You will have to apply and try for yourself, because each year, rankings and cut-offs vary from other years. So you should also try for other universities and colleges as backup. Yes you can get AMU with your rank, and with whichever branch you want. Just CSE branch has a very high cut-off so can't be sure of anything, but according to previous cutoffs and considering your status, you can definitely try. Aligarh Muslim University is well known, but you can also try for other colleges that offer the course that you want. All the best!

first of all clear that what is your chance memo number .however since you have secured 23 rank in the special category so there is chance of yours to get admission . just take care to reach at the time of counselling and be hopeful
