First of all , you should understand the exam pattern. Then refer to official site for sylllabus.

After doing this, make a study plan for the your preparations. Now decide the areas where you need  to work and areas that will fetch you good score. Now the next thing is the study material, get the study material form the internet and refer some good books, plenty books are available in the market. Prepare your time table and stick to it. Try solving previous years papers in the prescribed time, that will help you manage time in exam.

As far as paper is concerned, it will be objective paper having 150 marks and the duration will be 180 minutes.  The plus point is that, there will be no negative marking. Read the question paper first , don't waste much time. Try to attempt those questions only for which you the answer. Manage your time in such a way that you are to able complete before 15 minutes. In the last 15 minutes attempt those remaining questions also which you don't know. May be they will fetch you some marks and that will the bonus.

Dear Tuba, for BA Hons (Arts/Social Sciences), ypu should be familiar with the topics like General Awareness and Current Affairs, Reasoning and Intelligence, Indo Islamic Culture, Aligarh movement and English. If it is for BA Hons in Foreign Languages, you need to focus on Theology. Go through prwvious question papers for a fair idea. How much score is required to get a seat in amu?

Swagata Mishra 1st Apr, 2019

Hello Mohammed,

For an external student a score of at least 80% is required to take admission in AMU and in case of BA and B.Sc u can easily take admission by scoring 60%. For internal students, the required score is comparatively lesser.

To secure an MBBS seat in AMU, for external students from all India quota cut off must be 560+ and for internal students, it must be above 530+

For B.tech, the cut-off actually varies every year. For external students, 80 to 85 score is required and for internal students about 65 to 70 marks u will have to score for clearing list. For CS branch the cutoff required is high.

For more details, you can refer to the link given

Hope it helps!

The cut off for the entrance depends upon many factors such as the number of applications received, complexity of question paper etc. No body can estimate exact cut off for the year. Though in 2018 the cut off was  70%.

To know expected cut off please refer to the following link.
