Dear Amaan, AMU doesnt have its own counseling process. So the counseling for its MBBS seats will be filled by MCC. For NEET 2019, only the score of those candidates who have obtained AMU MBBS admission will be considered. To be eligible for the admission process you should fill the application form released by the authorities of AMU and register with MCC. The syllabus for BA entrance AMU Test is ,

1. English - Comprehension of paragraph and sentence levels, identification of Common errors,grammar and vocabulary, antonyms, pairing of words, Sentence Structure and construction,prepositions,and completion of sentences.

2. General Knowledge - indian constitution, geography, independence, foundation of pyschology and honours.

3. Reasoning- Verbal reasoning

4. Indo islamic culture- history of muslims and etc

According to the latest MHRD NIRF - 2018 Engineering rankings AMU is at 35th place.

Its a good option after IITs and some old NITs.

The faculty, the labs' facility and overall environment towards studies are excellent. 

Placements are good but nothing exceptional.

The main positive point is that the fee is very low compared to other colleges.

Overall AMU is a pretty good college for B. Tech.

For getting admission in Aligarh Muslim University, the students must have qualified following criteria: The candidates should have qualified 10+2th (or equivalent) examination from a recognized central or state board. Should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in their qualifying examination. Candidates appearing for 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2019 are also eligible to apply. At least 50% aggregate marks should have been secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination. Those candidates who have done diploma in engineering through Aligarh Muslim University with at least 50% aggregate marks will also be eligible to apply. Candidate should not be more than 24 years of age as on July 1, 2019.

There is no reservation for Muslims in AMU. But 50% of the seats are reserved for internal students applicable to non Muslims also. Few seats are reserved for NRI, aluminis and employers irrespective of their religion.
